Made entirley by me except for the concept which came from the PS1 game, but I had to model the whole thing myself. I can't get them to be a little bit more blue, but that's alright since the blue ice is odd.

Cool. Adding terrain objects like this could make for some interesting new level designs . . . do you plan on adding more?

I've also been considering doing things like lava flows out of walls and stuff like that, but the modelling (and exporting!) part kept me from it . . . eww.

Out of curiosity, what do you have them listed as in the LEGO.cfg? Buildings, monsters? I was doing something kinda similar as a building, a barricade set up by the Rock Raiders to keep out monsters, but for now it's probably what's making my game crash lol

The pillars are immobile monsters that can't be shot at and don't react to anything else. You could destroy them with mining lasers, which might lead to new level designs where there are walls of ice pillars that can't be drilled but can be lasered.

Nice, are you going to upload the model and config code as a mod for people to use?

This can be used to enhance game levels with more world content.

This is for RtPU, Cyrem.

I may release it to the public, but I don't know yet. I sorta want these things and hundreds of others to be RtPU special features. I'm not saying I won't, though.

I say you make a equivalent for the other 2 level types, simple multicolored crystal pillars in rock levels, and...

What the heck would it be for lava levels, red crystals, black solidified lava pillars the reach the ceiling?

I can't think of a lava equivalent.

I was thinking that there must be some way to add this kind of stuff to the actual Biome itself; maybe changing the Lava .lwo.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the objects list is non-expandable. I'm sure it says so in the .cfg...or is that effects...or are they the same thing?

MiscObjects is definitely not expandable. I think I've added extra effects before, but maybe those were upgrades, which are different.

Why not make it a monster you can shoot at and put the crystals/ore/studs under it in the .ol? Assuming you can manipulate the 'picksphere' or whatever other collision settings of the monster in the cfg so that the goods are completely hidden under it, it would work just like a crate.

To expand on that, isn't there a script function that can kill monsters? SetRockMonsterHealth, or something like that? It's been a while since ive messed with scripts, sorry if I'm forgetting. But you could use that to break open the crate when a Rock raider gets near it. (Probably not worth the effort, now that i think about it lol)

Has CostCrystal and CostOre variables. When it dies, maybe it'll spit out specified ore and ECs.

Wait, if this is a monster, then can't raiders just walk through it? Unless you make them scared or something...which would work, but also looks silly.

Also, you could manually walk a raider through them...

Heh, yeah. Forgot about the stubborn AI. Well good luck with using a vehicle to do it, that'd be pretty awesome.

To make the crate non-selectable: Set the select size to 0. I had a similarly functioning object in my old mod.
