Well, you need to make the cavern preview pictures, which are the exact size of the holes and have proper transparency colors (since these are bitmaps), and then realign everything perfectly. See the cfg for details.

There is no easy way to do it. I imagine the developers had hell trying to get them aligned the first time. The coordinated for the pictures are in the cfg. You need to make the new pictures yourself. You can search the forum for the more levels mod.

No easy way? Draw an outline around your level image, then align that wherever you want onto the levelpicker image. Identify the coordinates of the top-left pixel of the outline when it's placed on the levelpicker, then use those as the coordinates in the CFG. It's not a completely utter bodge, and if you use a program that supports layers, then you can load in a bunch of your level images, align one, write down the coordinates, then remove that level image and move on to the next.

Of course, you might want to make sure that the level images are positioned by the top left corner rather than another corner.

What about those who are on an MSPaint budget?

The GIMP is, and always will be, free, and is just as good (if not better) than Photoshop.

If you're one of those that don't like Gimp, you can use paint.net.

If you don't like that, slap yourself silly and use google.

Now that I think about it, Paint.Net is better for making simple LegoRR textures, especially since it indexes them correctly.

Photoshop is leagues ahead of Gimp and any other image editing software I've ever used. Paint.net, however, is a very good alternative and, like gimp, is completely free.

Maybe, but I feel at home with GIMP; it's simple and powerful. Paint.Net is good, though.

Just so we're clear, there are two versions of Photoshop. Photoshop Elements, which is more like Gimp on terms of what you can do with it and still relatively cheap, and the CSX version, which is for pros and costs more monnies.

If you have the full Adobe suite, then you can make bank as a graphics artist.... well if you're any good as an artist anyways. ;P

As far as I know you can't have more than the specified number of levels without it crashing due to some hard-coded stuff. So it needs to be the same number of holes. New level pictures is easy though. Just open em up in GIMP or something and save them and make sure their the right bit depth or whatever (if the right preset isn't in GIMP, I can't remember, Irfanview can take care of it). It'd be easiest just to reskin the old level pictures rather than try to assign new coordinates for each level picture, as that is rather tricky business.

Where on earth have you been? We've known how to add levels beyond 25 with custom GUI's without crashing for some time. I'm pretty sure Lair has gone the most indebth with this on RtPU.

Last I knew by trying to have more than 33 Levels (the default number of slots), the game would crash on level selection. Sure you can add new eight levels and replace the tutorials, but that's different.

College.

The next level thing is really stupid and pointless, for one thing. Also the outro video level has to be the last one, and the first eight won't save a score. Besides that you can do anything.

Proof? I think I had two or more levels with outro movies and everything worked normally...
