Steve Jobs was the founder and head of a company that entertains, if not helps, a fracken huge number of people.

The man was an innovator and a doer, one of the most brilliant people in this day and age.

Even though I'm a PC, I understand his contribution to today's technology.

If it wasn't for him, PCs woulden't exist either.

Remember kids, Steve AND Bill made that first computer together in that crappy ol' garage.

He did his job on this Earth and now he's in a better place... Well unless you're like an atheist, then he's a tree or some s***, I dunno.

EDIT: I refuse to say that stupid "R.I.P." lettering thing for any person, regardless of stature, and for Mr. Jobs it remains the same. It has come to my attention, after the death of a famous motorbike rider, that I am inclined to say "RIP". Sorry, Steve, I wasn't in the best on the day of your death.

May you Rest In Peace.

Jobs was a unique individual, and while I didn't agree with his companies products, he has done some amazing work in the past, and without him, it's likely that Apple is going to suffer. Terribly (who the f*** wants a half-baked, late 4S?).

Computers existed before them, all they did was add the 'Personal' part.

Yet he markets that PCs and Macs are different. The cancer must have been getting to him...

Meh, I didn't like his products nor marketing practices. But as a person RIP.

and without him, it's likely that Apple is going to suffer

Wow... Up 'till yesterday, I didn't even KNOW who Steve Jobs was. And I call myself a nerd.

ANYWAYS,

...without him, it's likely that Apple is going to suffer. Terribly (who the f*** wants a half-baked, late 4S?).

I like the sound of that. LONG LIVE MICROSOFT!

I remember brushing shoulders with Steve back in 2005 when I visited Apple with my uncle Joe. I didn't recognize him at first because everyone there dresses like college students. It's a shame he's gone, but he will be forever remembered for everything he's done. The thing that really hurts is that he died the same way my grandfather died, but at a much younger age. Pancreatic cancer in males is insanely painful. What a rotten way to die... I wish there was something more I could say.

I read yesterday that he died but I didn't have the time to make a topic like this.

I might prefer Microsoft over Apple but the world is going to miss him because he was a great and inventive man.

Although if Apple really does go under then I hope they sell to Microsoft.

I mean can you imagine how many people would leave the internet forever because they can't make virus' anymore because Windows has the security level of a Mac? (I am just speaking in a general term. I am sure all of you have your own opinions but I think we can all agree that the reason people don't make virus' for Macs is because it is far easier to make them for Windows.)

And people would stop making hardware and software for Windows/Mac and spend more time utilizing Windows to its full extent. (Now that would be awesome.)

R.I.P.

Maybe now's not the best time to ask, but Apple, can we please have Flash Player and Java on the iPhone and iPad now? :P

I though this community didn't like SJ. I don't know why, it was probably the use of "Crapple". Oh well.

I know little about Jobs so I don't have much to say, Cirevam's post said it all.

I like the sound of that. LONG LIVE MICROSOFT!

...No
