apemax
Hello all. second one. This is my latest creation a motorised helicopter and no unfortunately it doesn't fly. It has a sort of a brake but instead of "braking" it works like a gear box. It interrupts the gear train so the momentum from the blades doesn't keep the motor from turn after it gets turned off. On with the pictures: Edit: Pictures can be found on the MOCpages page here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/305094 More pictures here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=486096 And a video of it working. McJobless
That's beyond awesome. You've really got a knack for making cool LEGO stuff.
Cyrem
I reckon you need to set yourself a goal to get that thing in the air. It flying would be very impressive.
apemax
Thanks all. I tried to get the blades to turn as quickly as possible but if i gear it up any more then because of the weight of the blades it actually slows down. Also with the weight of the actual model i would need quite a lot of power to get it of the ground. I will try to improve the design at some point. Cyrem
What are you using as a motor?
apemax
I'm using a XL power functions motor. I tried a M PF motor but it could quite handle the weight of the blades.
