le717
I use Firefox at home and Chrome at work, each has its own points. But everyone knows that IE is the fastest and most secure web browser ever built. Or at least, that's what Microsoft wants every Windows user to believe. And it seems that people fall for it. When I put IE9 on a Vista launch PC, it was slower than IE 8 AND Chrome. Why? IE9 uses the GPU to speed up browsing. And since it uses stuff that XP does not support, that's why it was not made for XP. This was a Vista though, so it was made for it. But, the GPU in this laptop was really old and really slow, and on top of that, it was part of that recall HP made because of faulty GPUs We had it fixed, but since it was not good in the first place, IE9 tried to use it, and therefore made browsing slower than IE8. As for most secure browser... Yea. Pretty much every browser is about the same. Except for Safari (which I will never recommend to someone). The people who make Norton gives a report every so often (not sure how often), and in the last report I read, it said that Safari was the least patched browser. It took over 14 days for it to be patched for some zero-day flaws in that report.

They think they have the most secure system ever built so they don't give a crap about actually improving things about it.

Addictgamer
I switch between Chromium, Firefox, Opera, and Epiphany in the normal cycle of "BLARG I STOP WORKING NOA KTHXBAI" (yes, all bowsers are spoiled brats at some points. I just switch out when the currently used one decides it's time to stop working). I will say I've noticed Chromium is significantly faster than Firefox, Opera is on par with Chromium speedwise, and that Epiphany plain sucks but always works if none of the other three are working. Do not that I dislike Chromium's buginess. Has some horrendous flash issues (not that I care, I usually have the flash plugin disabled in every bowser). Flash can leave it a dead colorless window of doom that is not attached to any process. Wait, that's actually a part flash, part Chromium, part X problem.
