Ivor_Badic
Hi this is my first post. I am a uni student and I used to play Lego Rock Raiders on my home computer many years ago and fancied a bit of nostalgia. So I downloaded an iso (appologies but my actual disk is back home). It installed fine, I put the d3drm file in the sysWOW64, system 32, system and LegoRR install directory. Each individually and in various combinations. It loads the splash screen, the lego logo animation and beginnig cinematic all fine but when it begins to load it crashes to desktop with the message "LegoRR.exe has stopped working" at about 40% loaded with the standard and about 70% with the enhanced version. I have run it with various compatability settings windows 2000, xp, 98/ME as well as things like the resolution and number of colours. I have also played around with Direct3D and RGB emulation settings. I have trawled these forums for answers to my problems but am yet to find one for LegoRR.exe crashing, there are many for legoRR.icd and other problems but none I can see for the .exe. I appologise if I have missed something. If anyone has a solution or a link to an appropriate post it would be much appreciated. My computer is a Dell XPS Intel I7 2360QM Nvidea 540gt Windows 7 64 bit 6gb Ram I'm using Daemon Tools
Addictgamer
How about trying those solutions to the LegoRR.icd problem? The ICD in some versions is actually the exe. If it's running, that means that version has safedisk or whatever that protection was called. So, that means the guys who had that problem had a disk version and you have a diskless. Everything's the same except for the ICD. TL;DR Try their solutions anyway. One might work.

Ivor_Badic
Right got it to work by adding -ftm -nom to the end of the target box in the enhanced shortcut and got rid of -best. No idea why that worked but now I can indulge in my nostalgia. Thaks for the help.

McJobless
Right got it to work by adding -ftm -nom From the wiki, "This makes you videocard use all available texture memory (from readme). Also turns off game lighting. Lighting still effects game models. This also disables texture management for Voodoo2 based cards." to the end of the target box in the enhanced shortcut and got rid of -best. This "Disables prelaunch prompt." So, for explanation, you simply made the computer try to optimise the textures a little better, and disable that lighting system.
Ivor_Badic
Lol well seems to work ok, its weird cause my old windows 7 laptop (an OS uprgrade) and it worked no problem. Strange how changing the smallest thing is the difference between it working and it not. And thanks for explaining what I did exactly.
