I've been reading Cirevam's tutorial on LWO/LWS basics (which is throwing me off a bit because of the role-played medieval wording, not that its bad) and PWNZOR's uncompleted tutorial on using LightWave; However, I'm pretty familiar with 3ds Max, so I was wondering if its possible to model/texture all entities in Max and afterward export them into Lightwave then from there export into the game. In my opinion it just seems a bit easier to do the modeling/texturing in Max and use Lightwave as exporter middle ground.

You obviously missed MY tutorial. As an avid 3DS Max fan, I feel your pain. Unfortunately, you can't fully texture the models, export them, and then have them pre-coloured in Lightwave. Basically, you can texture in 3DS Max, but the only purpose it would have is to create the surfaces. In Lightwave, you then just recolour the surfaces again to what you had them in 3DS Max.

My tutorial is here:

I use Lightwave as a middleman for textures too. I tacked that bit on the end of my tutorial so it might not be visible enough. I edited mine a bit to make the distinction that I'm focusing only on Milkshape for modeling.

Alright, I need a 8x8 brick for the Teleport Pad (4201) but LDD only has 8x8 tiles, so do you guys know how many tiles equals the size of one 4201? My guess is three, but since I'm going off of pictures I'm not entirely sure.

Concerning the two round plates (4073) that are to go on the front studs of the 4083, Peeron states they are TrNeonOrange but since LDD doesn't have that in extended mode I'm trying to figure out which more closely resembles it: Tr. Bright Orange or TR. Fluorescent Red Orange.

I'd just go with a bright orange. Ultimately, colours aren't going to be that close to the real models because LEGO only chose a small pallete.
