McJobless
I was wondering...would there be anyway to lock a mission should a player complete another mission? I don't think it's possible, but it would be mighty helpful as far as my overhauls story is concerned; alternate ending would be completely possible. Basically, Level Locking would solve a logic bug; if the player is presented with two missions, each similar but with a different ending that takes you on a different story arc, it would be completely possible for them to unlock both sides of the story which, while it lets them know all the story endings, kind of ruins the organisation. If you can lock levels, you can lock the the opposite mission to the one they completed, so that the second story path never unlocks and you don't have a problem (you have different save slots, relax). If we can't lock levels, does anyone at least know away around the bug?
Cyrem
Not sure what you mean, and I don't see how logic is a bug. From what I understand, if a person goes one way you want to lock the other so they can't play it. You can make a save at the decision point, so really what is the use in doing this... other than hassling the player to make an extra save? Cirevam
There's nothing in the CFG that hints towards relocking levels. And like Cyrem said, the only thing this would do is force the player to make an extra save right before the fork, so it's pointless.
Amauros
You could have levelA1 and levelB1 be starting levels that are unlocked to begin with (I think?). By playing A1, you can play levels A1-A9 (which tells one story). By playing levelB1, you can play levels B1-B9 which tells a similar yet different story. This forces people to play A or B from beginning to end, but it doesn't stop them from switching back and forth and playing both stories side-by-side. Cirevam
It looks like adding FrontEndOpen TRUE to the level properties makes it playable from a new game, so you could theoretically have two mission forks running at the same time. I haven't confirmed it so don't get excited yet.
Lair
I haven't confirmed it so don't get excited yet >turorial01 >level01 It works, but only one can have the outro videos. So one needs to be the main plot.
