Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Review

Well, 2011 has been a huge year for games all around, mainly the FPS genre which has had alot of amazing releases, one in particular in BF3. Below I will be pointing out the good and bad points of BF3's multiplayer and co-op modes.

Co-op

Cooperative mode is a great addition to Battlefield 3 and I really enjoyed playing through the missions, similar to MW3's spec ops mode, the story which was made for it kept me interested in playing it plus the unlocks you could get for multiplayer encouraged me further to try it out. The way the missions were ment to be played from stealth to piloting helicopters was very enjoyable. The only downside to this is the amount of missions but hopefully DICE will release more in the form of DLC. I give this a 9.9/10.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer is my favourite game mode on BF3 at this current time due to the size of the maps which dwarfs MW3's. The return of jets was a very good thing seeing as to how I loved them in BF2. The new customization options such as not having scopes on your sniper or being able to make a sniper shotgun are vast with endless customizations. The Back to Karkand DLC pack is amazing because of the fact that weapons, maps and vehicles from Battlefield 2 make a return. The way the maps are designed are amazing and the visuals are the best I've seen since Crysis. Classes have been balanced since BF2 and the LMG class is no longer a rambo. My only downsides are the camping Recons and the immense power of some back to Karkand weapons.

Pros:

Large maps

Jets

Good co op campaign

Balanced classes

New game modes

Maps from BF2

More customization options

Cons:

Back to Karkand guns are overpowered

Recon camping

Constant reviving when you dont need it

MP7 is way too underpowered

Not enough Co-op levels

I give Battlefield 3's Multiplayer a 10 out of 10.

It sounds like a good game, but I dunno if I'd choose it over MW3. My friends have both and are more towards the MW3 side, and even though Battlefield has Jets (I love FSX ;P), I think MW3 might come off stronger because of its large® fanbase.

A guy I know was the opposite. He had BF3 loved it, then bought MW3... hated it and was trying to sell it the next day.

I may give it a bit of a look. I'm currently trying to find a new FPS since TF2 has become severely unstable. I'm currently leaning towards Shootmania by Nadeo when it's released, however, and I'll give a review of it when I get it.
