Rules: As much as i hate game rules i am afraid i am going to have to do some despite saying Modded you will have some limits on this in Order to have a fun and safe and fun speed running i have a required down load right here so you can have a more fun time doing this.

in order for your record to be counted you must have a in game screen shot an possibly a video recording as well you can see all of my videos here in a play list that says Lego Rock Raiders speed run modded. please note that i have added level 5 & 6 rock raiders to the game since these are so unique and allowed me to get done with these levels very fast a video recording is maybe a good idea but i have disabled the debug keys so it really do sent matter.

For my Harder Rock Raiders version you must not Mod it in any way except for the mods i have in ther like you can upgrade your rock raiders to a level 4. these levels will take slighty longer to Moderatly longer then the normal versions so a screen shot is all you relly need but videos are always welcomed.

What you can do well you can make some changes :D

Graphic changes any of these are fine with me

New creatures fine as long as you DO NOT Ol place them

New Loading screen fine

New biomes a okay

And tweak out some animations in the game as well. You will have to extract my wad to add the biomes though.

What You Can Not Do

1. you may not change any of the pilot stats or creatures and Vehicles/Buildings.

2. you may not modify any of the games Npl,s to get done super fast .

3. you may not tweak out any of the games maps in any way this includes adding new caverns modding the coro map and surface map etc.

4. You may not enable the debug keys even though i use them in some levels in my videos however i used minor ones such as the A one the 7 one to speed up the game and the L one you may use the Ctrl+ s to win or the Del to destroy solid rock This i why i am not taking any chances at all.

5. You may not change the levels scoring section in the cfg you may add a oxygen depletion though

Last these are the stats you will be using

This topic is completely pointless, it's basically saying you can just make 200 frosting dumb levels and speedrun it. This is exactly the reason I stopped caring about speedruns.

I didn't bother to read anything of what you wrote, with exception of the first few sentences. My reason for not reading through the entirety of it, is that it's presumably poorly-written botch.

I respect your opinion Lair, but it's his choice if he wants to do a Speedrun competition if he wants, and we don't have to join in if we don't want to.

The point is that this is the same levels being played with a few limited mods. You would just be artificially improving the times on the maps that have already have records. If you're going to do a modded speedrun, you should change the maps too or it's pointless.

Yeah your right i will include my Harder rock raiders version now since i have change the maps and the crystal and ore in those maps we can say that is a changed level in addition i will also include the tutorial levels for a more variety as well.

Edit: i have now include my harder rock raiders version you can down load that here since i have not done any of these levels those are for grabs they will also take a little longer so a screen shot is all you need but again videos are always welcomed as well.

I know. I found it funny, because with that statement, Extreme undermined Cyrem and Lair's comments.

This is what your post should have read, had you used proper punctuation, and capitalization:

Well that makes sense, and I find it funny too. Anyway, do you want to try to beat one of my records, or do one for my Harder version? You could have a lot of praise from me. :)

Since I've been labelled as handling the 'official RRU speedrunning', I suppose I better give my two cents worth:

As others have pointed out already, it is pointless to create another two SpeedRun boards (with the current state of my two SpeedRun boards). The success of any scoreboard is going to be based on competition and demand for records. If there are a limited number or records, each record will have more value as it is more 'sought after'. If there are a huge number of records on offer, the value of a single record becomes almost worthless, as there is an endless supply of new ones. (I.e. It is a basic supply and demand situation: Assuming a constant number of SpeedRunners and SpeedRun attempts, if these are focussed on a smaller number of records, there are going to be more overlap/repeated attempts (which represents competition), than if the same number of attempts were spread over a large number of records. More competition = a more successful scoreboard.)

We have also seen on my scoreboard(s) that the levels of the original game are contested more, and hold more value, than the Baz's Mod records. (As it stands, only a quarter of Baz's Mod levels have even been attempted.) Because pretty much everyone knows the original game and levels, these are always going to have the most value. (And hence why it will be used as the 'official' records). The fact that all the Baz's Mod levels haven't even been attempted yet for a benchmark time should also tell you that we are not in any rush for more modded level records. (i.e. Wait until you've exhausted the current supply, before you restock it.)

So in conclusion (I probably didn't really need to give that waffly explanation): I don't want to discourage people from SpeedRunning, but it would be better if people stuck to a more limited set of records. This way, there is likely to be greater competition for records, increasing the worth of owning a record.

~Matt

P.S. If you are wondering how to make a table, you can use a BBCode Table Generator. (e.g. Here or Here)

You have some very good points ther thanks for shearing that maybe i should stop recoridy my records for now so there will be more interests in the speed running and thanks for showing me how to do a tabel now i can make this stuff on the top more organized and readable :)
