Disrespectful And Stupid Ideas

So I was watching some Comedy Central a few weeks ago and saw a commercial for a 9/11 memorial coin and that got me thinking. Are those things even worth the legal tender they say they are? So I went on Google and found this article: The 7 Most Retarded “Collectible†Coins Ever

I mean really now. The people who make this s*** only care about the money they can get by scamming the chumps who buy it.

Tell me what you think and if you have an example of a really stupid or really disrespectful idea, scam, or just terrible think then feel free to post it.

Lemme see, how about China's plan to recreate as much of the UNESCO town of Hallstat in their country? Especially without consulting the residents or the Austrian government in the first place

They are collectable coins. The only value they would have is if they sold them to another collector. Thats the whole point of 'collectable' items. This isn't limited to coins.

No but you see the point of the topic is to talk about disrespectful and stupid ideas. Not that they are collectable coins. Did you even look at the link?

If there is a demand, there is a value. I don't collect coins or anything, but some hard-core collectors place value on rarity rather than substance. They take pride in their collections and are free to do so.

It's like the hat trade in TF2. I find no enjoyment in trading pixels on a screen and only do it to get weapons to fit my playing style, but there are people on there that obsess over it. If I have a hat they want and they have a weapon I need, we both profit.
