Pranciblad
It's no surprise that some of my fondest memories of my time at Markham elementary were the times when I got to goof off off in my special ed. classroom. One of the best things they had was (aside from numerous fidget toys and the carpet rooms who love them I always went in) was a desk of old computers with a whole bunch of games. My favorite of these was obviously Lego Chess. In fact, I probably wouldn't be nearly as good at chess if I hadn't been obsessed with that game. In fact, I think I've gotten rusty in the years since playing it! But thanks to a friend, I now have a copy of it for my own Now the question is: how do I get it to run? I tried it on my old win95 computer, and it kept crashing on start up. So before I try to get it to run on my newer vista machine, I wanted to see if anybody knew of problems or advice I might need to now about first. I do have a win7 machine, but it's still fairly clean, and my parents want it to be used as lightly as possible. Therefore, it will be a last resort if I absolutely cannot get it to work on my other machines. EDIT: No, it won't work on vista. AARGH
Phoenyx
It won't work on 95 because most computers from that area that could run 3D games had two separate GPU chips - a main GPU and a 3D accelerator card. You can get it to work if you can find a refurbished VooDoo 2 Banshee or another all-in-one GPU from that era. Pre-rendered 3D didn't require an accelerator card, thus some older games worked. Vista won't run it because Vista. It has poor compatibility for older programs. I doubt 7 will be able to run it, but try fooling with the settings. Lair
The biggest problem with lego Chess is not running it, but installing it.
Nishliau
What about that fancy thing Cyrem did with RR?
mumboking
I've got an original LEGO Chess disc and Windows 7. It just crashes, no matter what I try. I downloaded an XP compatible version but that crashes too, although I can get to the menu screen.

STUDZ
Yeah, for some reason I could never get LEGO Chess to work on my XP laptop. I install it and... NOTHING.
