Cadaverific
Hello all. So after several years of letting it sit on the shelves i decided to re download LRR. i successfully installed the game however i keep on receiving a error saying that i do not have the correct cd-rom in the disc drive. Judging from how long i've had the game this is v1.0 and i'm running it on Vista 32 bit. Any help would be much appreciated
McJobless
What is the letter of your disc drive that the game disc is in, and is Virtual or Physical?
Cadaverific
The disc is on the E drive and im using a physical copy of the disc
Lair
1. Were you able to install it? 2. If so, how big is the .ICD file in the install folder?
Cadaverific
Yes the game installed itself no problem and the .icd file is 720kb
Lair
the .icd file is 720kb oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dear That means you got a disc-needing copy (discless copies have a 0kb ICD), and it doesn't like something you did. Can you explain in better detail?
Cadaverific
Yeah it always needed the disc back when i ran it on my old 98 PC. Basically when i load the game it loads the splash screen then tells me that it cannot locate the CD-ROM a second later
McJobless
I always thought the game would only check D drive for the disc...
Cirevam
On my computers the disk drive is always E: so that's probably not it. Cadaver said his has a splash screen when it starts up. Which version does that? The Masterpiece edition? I've never had one with a splash screen so I don't know. Lair
