Alright, so I'm trying to play with a friend online in the N64 version of Lego Racers, the problem is every time the Kaillera client makes the connection, the game tells me there's no controller plugged into port 1. Anyone else have any idea what's going on or how to fix it?

I don't even know how to make it not have graphical borks.

The only issue I've seen, (even though it's a biggie) is when the camera pans too far away, the racers will vanish.

Which pretty much kills the game.

I guess it just depends on your bug tolerance. Me? You're talking to the guy who once had to play Gameboy Colour games at a third of their original framerate on a screen not much bigger than an SD card. I'm tolerant. :P

I've beaten some games in terrible circumstances too, it's just that since I have the PC version of the same game it feels weird.

Oh I know what you mean. IMO, the N64 version still has some advantages over the PC version including but not limited to a forcible windowed mode without fiddling with GPU settings, and, (assuming this bug can be fixed) online multiplayer via Kaillera.

I prefer couch over online multiplayer when possible, but considering we have members from all over the world... well, let's just say it's a bit difficult to meet up when many members don't even have cars of their own.

I've had my cartridge since I was 5.

Didn't get a mempack until 10.

Don't ask how that worked out...

Can anyone explain how to set up Kaillera? I have a Mac (using mupen64k emulator) and my friend has windows. Is it possible only for him to set up the client/server or do I need it as well?
