mumboking
I just tried playing LEGO Island with a PS3 controller (I downloaded drivers) and discovered something. While the left stick was pushed forward, I pressed left on the d-pad and my character looked left while still walking the way I was going. A few clips of it in action: If you see a PoV Hat in your controller's properties, you can use it to look in different directions. It's not of much use, but it can be interesting to change the view while driving... lol username, Lair and le717
lol username
I love how this game is fifteen years old and we're still finding new stuff in it. ^_^ Lair
le717
HKLMSOFTWAREMindscapeLEGO Island JoystickIndex = -1 UseJoystick = NO Judging from these strings and the video, I think that using a joystick is a supported feature of the game, but nobody ever cared to plug one in and try it out before now. I think we needed to look in the registry ealier... ;P
mumboking
No need to check the registry, just look in the configuration. :P lol username
Cirevam
I've used a joystick with LI before but I guess I never tried it with a joystick that has a hat pad. I have a gamepad that lets me swap the mappings of the D-pad and left analog stick so I might be able to rotate the camera smoothly, but we'll see. Edit: I tried it and it didn't work as I expected. Those eight directions must be hardcoded.
