Noogah
Hello there community! I am so surprised and happy this place exists. I've been a fan of Lego Racers for years, and figured I was probably one of two or three people left on the planet who ever gives a second's thought to the game. But in my many, many months of loneliness (until now), I've often wondered if it would be possible to modify the game for custom tracks, powerups, etc. So, what is possible at this point? What can you mod, I mean? Custom tracks, powerup placement, or going through walls etc. Any of that?
TheDoctor
I've not followed LR1 modding too much, but It looks like we can swap in textures, and maybe a few other little things. We're still trying to get the hang of figuring out what format these files are in. Origamiguy was leading this on, but he seems to be busy lately. Look through the topics and see what you find. Creator
The people of RRU have figured out, how to replace existing things, like textures, sound effects and music, AI opponents and text messages. However, we're still lacking good tools. The utilities we have at our disposal are not yet adequate. Origamiguy was working on some kind of master tool, alas, there have been no Lego Racers related releases from him for five months.
Almogzxp
Now when you are saying that ... i dont know... but i would like to add some custom maps...
STUDZ
Now when you are saying that ... i dont know... but i would like to add some custom maps... Wouldn't we all like to do that... But, unfortunately, we're far from being able to achieve that for LEGO Racers. As stated above, Origamiguy was working on a "master tool" for LR1, but he hasn't been heard from in recent months. Maybe he's lurking... But regardless, Origamiguy was our leading guy in all things LR1-modable. Maybe he'll come back with this master tool? Fluffy Cupcake
But regardless, Origamiguy was our leading guy in all things LR1-modable. Maybe he'll come back with this master tool?We would all hope that, but probably not. He would probably say a few things first here about who knows what before getting back to work on it.
