Hey, I just started playing RR again and it worked after downloading the d3drm.dll file. But now it crashes while playing a mission. When it crashes is gives the error that "LegoRR.exe had an error..

Does someone recognize this problem? And can someone tell me how to fix it?

Thanx!

What were you doing around the time it crashed? What level were you playing on? Sonic blasters are known to crash and dynamite can too, though not as often. LRR is prone to crashing in general so if you give us some more details we can try to help you.

Right now it crashes on the folowing missions: it's a hold up, explosive action and frozen frenzie. usually it crashes after about 10 min.

And in the explosives trainingmission it crashes when the explosive explodes..

Ad it crashes during the trainingmission defending your HQ. It crashes when the monster is trying to destroy your HQ.

I followed the guide, extracted the WADs and downloaded the EDC. I replaced the original file dynamite with the EDC dynamite file. But it keeps counting down from 5 to 1 and the game crashes when the countdown is at 4. Dit i do something wrong?

The Extended Dynamite Countdown counts down from ten and it looks like this: http://www.rockraidersunited.org/uploads/gallery/gallery/album_6/gallery_27_6_310943.png

You say you replaced the original file with the extended one, but if the dynamite does not look like the one in that picture then you replaced the wrong file or did not rename tickdown_extended.lws to tickdown.lws

I'm trying to rename the file, but how do you do that? Usually by clicking on it, but it doesnt work right now. Can you explain me how to do it?

1) Delete the tickdown.lws file that is already in your Dynamite folder.

2) Rename tickdown_extended.lws to tickdown.lws and put it in the Dynamite folder.

3) Play the game.

I never explained that in the instructions that came with the mod since I thought it was obvious, but I forgot that what's obvious to me isn't obvious to everyone else.

I'm havind a hard time with al of this. I just can't get it to work. I tried to replace the file. Bit when i open my RR moderated folder i can't open the folder, i can only open it in wordpad. The only way to see what's in the folder is by using the WAD tool. But then i can see two legoRR0 and two LegoRR1 folders. 1 of these two folders i can open and see what folders are insite, the other one i can only open with the WAD tool. But then i don't know how to moderate things in it. I tried to replace the tickdown.lws file in the folder where i can see the other folders. So I put it in LegoRR0/MiscAnims/Dynamite. But now when i start up RR is still uses the original dynamite. Can you help me or is it hopeless voor me? :P

What. Alright, let me try to make sense of this...

Have you prepared your game for modding? That is, have you extracted the LegoRR0.wad AND the LegoRR1.wad files? If so you will have two extra folders in your Rock Raiders installation folder: LegoRR0 and LegoRR1. If you have those, rename the WAD files to anything other than LegoRR0 or LegoRR1. Just call them LegoRR0backup and LegoRR1backup.

After that you have two choices: either take all of the folders from the LegoRR0 and LegoRR1 folders and put them in the Data folder. Do the LegoRR0 folders first. Then find the MiscAnimsDynamite folder in there and put the new dynamite file in there. Your other choice is to go to the MiscAnimsDynamite in the LegoRR0 folder and put the new dynamite file in there. You must compile new WAD files with the WAD Tool after you do this, both for LegoRR0 and LegoRR1.

Please take screenshots and show us what your Lego Rock Raiders installation folder looks like so we know you are on the right track. It is extremely hard to troubleshoot this when we don't know how everything is set up on your computer.

Stop. Listen. Download this: https://ore.rockraidersunited.org/legacy/WadPrimer_561793.jar Place it in the same folder as LegoRR.exe and run it. Press the button. Follow Cirevam's directions again. Here they are in case you forgot.

Doc, I was teaching another guy in a PM to mod, and he couldn't get WADPrimer to work. Just mentioning in case this guy has a similar problem.
