Come on. WW2? REALLY?

I mean, I guess it's alright. It's not russians anyway.

This does make me want to play LegoWOLF3D, though.

Its about WW2 and its just little wip

The PPsh is open boat, meaning midmag reloads will not give you an extra go.

Good god of stereotypical First Person Shooters...

I like a little more fantasy with my LEGO bricks... or a lot.

More bricks and models will be in the game or a lot

Open bolt means the bolt is open for most of the cycle, meaning the chamber is empty when not firing.

You mean the chamber of what?

You have a lot of work to do.

Yes :D

When a gun is fired, you have the barrel (the tube the bullet travels down), the bullet, the cartridge, and the bolt. The bolt is the thing that keeps the cartridge (and bullet) where it needs to be to be fired down the barrel. When the gun is fired, the energy from the gunpowder in the cartridge is transfered to the bullet, and some other energy from the same explosion is used to push the bolt back, knock out the used cartridge, and push a new one into the chamber (the area where the cartridge goes and has the bullet pointing where it needs to point). "Open bolt" describes a certain method of removing the used cartridge and putting a new one in the chamber. This is what most submachine guns (like the PPSh) use, afaik. Sniper rifles use a "closed bolt", which is an entirely different method of putting a fresh cartridge in the chamber. There are different advantages and weaknesses to each system.

NOTE TO WEAPON PURISTS:

This is a very simplified explanation, and a bit rushed since I am low on time.

Actually, open bolt means the bolt is open when the arm is ready to discharge, where as closed has the bolt in battery when the arm is ready to discharge. This means in open bolt weapons the cartridge is striped after pulling the trigger. What nog described was the extraction.

Yes, but it affects extraction. I was trying to describe the whole operating cycle in as simple terms possible... I agree, I did cover extraction mostly.
