lol username
This news is a few days old now, but better late than never. Two new LEGO DVDs are set for release in a few months: LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out is set for release on March 18, and LEGO Batman: The Movie is set for release on May 21. Both come with exclusive minifigures: Darth Vader with a celebration medal, and Clark Kent, respectively. The Empire Strikes Out is a 20-minute-long animated special aired on Cartoon Network last year. Like the other animated LEGO Star Wars specials, it's essentially a LEGO style Star Wars parody, with plenty of quirky references to the original movies. LEGO Batman: The Movie, however, is a very different story: It's nothing more than the cutscenes from TT's LEGO Batman 2 video game rendered in high quality and put on a DVD. I'm serious. TT Games is trying to sell video game cutscenes on a DVD under the name "TT Animation". Wow. Sources: Brickset
Olivus Prime
Ugh. I'm really tired of the media that LEGO is putting out at the moment. I think the epitome is going to be the LEGO theatrical movie coming soon... of all of the millions of minifigures that could serve as good leads, they choose Superman and Batman. It feels like LEGO has just become a puppet to the big franchises that it connects with.

Don't worry, LEGO still does original stuff too - aren't you hyped for the live-action movie adaption of Hero Factory? :tf:

Jimbob
Well, I haven't played DC Superheroes, but surely they must have to create some new footage to link the cutscenes together? In which case, it may not be that bad. Oh, and I think I got the Clone Wars mini-movie they made. It was... okay. I won't be purchasing this star wars one, let's say.
