RobExplorien
I've been doing some research on the history of LEGO, their close to bankruptcy moments, and their successful times. I found a great newspaper cut in my archives, which I saved up for later, and never really thought I would ever be posting on this forum. The cut pretty much explains how LEGO sales went down, what caused it and how the company earned its prestige back again. Because this is a Dutch issue (again), I translated all text on the scanned cut (which took me a darn long time). Anyway, the cut also discusses the Friends line, how well-known LEGO is around the world and a timeline of the company's history (and more). To sum it all up, it is worth to take a look at. Issue from a Dutch newspaper (AD), september 15th, 2012. Any opinions written in this cut aren't necessarily shared by me. Contents inside spoilertags contain links to the paper cut image, because the image would be too big to be posted in one piece on this topic, as well to have a zoom-in function included for the images. If you don't mind, I'd like some feedback on how I do translations (e.g. grammar, idioms and phrases), only for further improvement of my English skills and to make whatever I will post in the future on this forum clearer for everyone. http://i.imgur.com/Y8ljt6W.jpg STUDZ
