TheSnagger
Hey there, I've recently installed Lego Rock Raiders again om my Windows 7. The game runs fine untill I start a mission. When I start the first campaign mission I get the briefing and stuff. But as soon as the briefing is over, my mission instanly fails as If I had run out of time. When I try to do the first tutorial mission I can't do anything but look around the map. Can't click on anything. I've been looking across the internet and found no one with this problem yet. I've stumbled on this site and I hoped someone here might have a solution. Thnx in advance
McJobless
What computer specs do you have? Sounds like the CPU might be acting funny and throwing the LegoRR internal clocks off.
TheSnagger
Sorry for my reaaaalllly late response to this. I noticed I've made a typo. I have installed the game on Windows 8, not 7. I still haven't found a solution though. The menus are acting up too. And I know there isn't a fix for this problem atm. Else it would be somewhere on the internet right? Too bad though I can't play this awesome game anymore Just a thing that comes to my mind right now... would I possible to let the game work full screen If I used a virtual machine? RockRaiderWolf
What computer specs do you have? Sounds like the CPU might be acting funny and throwing the LegoRR internal clocks off. Well even if that's the case how would that cause an auto fail as there is no time limits as far as I know? @TheSnagger : If you haven't already, try using the data method to play the game and see if/how that changes anything. if you still get the exact same issue then it sounds like there might be something wrong with the npl or the reading of them. Where do you have the game installed? It should NOT be installed in program files. I would suggest installing it someplace in the public folder (ex: mine is in Public/Games/Lego Media/RockRaiders)
aidenpons
as If I had run out of time. out of TIME? You mean Oxygen...? You're playing vanilla (un-modded) RR, right? Driller Night doesn't HAVE a depleting oxygen supply. So everything just teleports back up after the briefing? LegoRR.exe DOESN'T crash? Go to Lego.cfg in LegoRR1 and find 'AllowDebugKeys.' Change that to TRUE. Can you do ANY level, even the tutorials? Go into one and if everything doesn't spaz out, hit F12. That disables the NERPs (objective files). Quit it, and then go into Driller Night.
