lol username
Hey you! Yes, you! Are you itching to spend over a thousand dollars on a couple pieces of plastic? Well, thanks to our good friends at LEGO, a special minifigure has been included in Series 10 of the ever-popular LEGO Minifigures blind bags. And unless you've been living under a rock in the LEGO community lately, you'll know that only 5,000 of them exist. In the whole world. Yeah. So, what are the aftermarket prices for these things like?About $1,300 US. But nobody would actually buy one for that price, right? I mean, that would be totally ridic-Oh. Sources: BricksetUpdate: Both lots have now sold. Some people really are desperate for shiny things.
Drill Master
Wow... I can't even find the money to buy the 800+ pieces I need to make a halo ring from LDD I made. 1,300 USD for 1 minifig...
RobExplorien
Definitely not worth it, but that likely isn't only my opinion. Imagine the size of the pile of LEGO bricks you can get for that price!

le717
That is just insane. Gold LEGO, IMO, has never looked too good. It shows a lot of... marks. Why someone would send this kind of money is beyond me. Can you imagine how many pants iJunk ponies sets you can buy with $1300? I could have gotten a 15lb Deskop Replacement for that, or built my own monster of a tower.

It's because of the rarity, not because of the material. Alcom Isst, le717 and STUDZ

Lair
The Darth Vader helmet isn't rare unless it's that chrome one.
RobExplorien
So, $1,300 for this minifigure, rare as heck (well, 5000 copies around the world). In contrary, I found the LEGO Town Airport Shuttle Monorail for just (yes, I said 'just') $395, sealed in box! And I take it that the latter is even rarer (maybe around 10 MISB copies). Then again, the monorail is not a fad (as the minifigure apparently is...) and not very recent, and that might be why it is not as expensive as (I) expected. Now, which would you choose? Cyrem
For the price I'd want it to be made of gold.
