Creator
Lacking a sub-forum for speed mods and the like, I thought I might as well start the topic in Modding Discussion. So, what is this, you may ask? It's simple: In order to make Dark Forest Dash more challenging, I chose to increase the speed Governor Broadside, Rob-N-Hood, Ann Droid and Pharaoh's Mummy slightly. The race is still winable without Warp and Shortcuts, but nevertheless, it's a lot more challenging than before. Download-Link: https://ore.rockraidersunited.org/legacy/DDD_Speed_Mod_464923.zip So, yeah, please tell me, what you think. Should I create speed increase mods for other tracks? Also, if you find any bugs, please tell me.
lol username
Eh, the difference was noticeable, but still fairly easy. Crank it up another notch.
RobExplorien
Ann Droid does seem to have an advantage on this track now, but that's okay. Maybe give the boss racer a slightly faster speed (I know it's not edited now), just an idea for the future. I also notice how the vehicle's movement goes like faster-faster-slower-faster-slower-slower-slower-faster. Probably because you changed the bytes uneven. Creator
Eh, the difference was noticeable, but still fairly easy. Crank it up another notch. Hm, too be honest, I first tried it with Rob-N-Hoods speed increased by 2 stages, instead of just one, but in the end, I found it to be quite frustrating. Maybe next time, I'll work in a 2-stages-speed bost for Bosses and Track Racers (Governor Broadside on Imperial Grand Prix, Achu on Amazonas Adventure etc) Ann Droid does seem to have an advantage on this track now, but that's okay. Haha, I put my hands up, you have me there. Yes, I did indeed increase some of his speed bytes by 2 stages.

RobExplorien
Im confused about where to put that files to make this mod working. (I have extracted jam already, and only mod I have is rock racers) Put all the .RRB files included in this .zip file in the RACEC1R0 folder of the extracted .JAM archive. That way you put the modified path files in the Dark Forest Dash folder (which is RACEC1R0). Then recompile the .JAM and you know the rest I guess. Jimbob
I want to do it.teach me ...Teach you how to install it or how to mod like this yourself? Both only require a little bit of searching To install it, Rob's post above is the answer, although I assume this isn't what you're asking. To create your own speed mod, you can follow Rob's tutorial (looks like Rob's the man for this job!) here. It's not the simplest job in the world though. And, more on-topic, nice mod Creator - I'll take a look at it later when I get the chance. I think you should continue this for other tracks if you can, particularly as this kind of mod can be quite simply added to the original game/texture mods without visually affecting them.
