le717
Sad, but true: I have never made a LEGO Racers mod. I started one a while back, redoing the Test Track textures in higher quality, but I never finished it. After that, I started writing PatchIt! and never really had time/didn't know what mod to make. I was watching Lair's LEGO Racers LP, and I noticed how he said he dislikes how a random song is played when you do a Single Race or Time Trial. I also dislike that "feature". Today, I remembered what file controls what songs play, and I just finished making my first LEGO Racers mod. Always Circuit Music does exactly what the name implies: with this mod, the normal, standard Circuit Race music will always play, even if you do a Single Race or Time Trial. Always Circuit Music is PatchIt! v.1.0.3 compatible (naturally ), but you can install it manually. V1.0 Download Enjoy. Fluffy Cupcake
lol username
I'd rather have a mod that changes the music to something that doesn't make my ears bleed.
The Ace Railgun
I'd rather have a mod that changes the music to something that doesn't make my ears bleed. Did you drink so much fruit punch that it's coming out your ears? But yeah that is some Ear Splitting music...I swear I almost lost them once...oh wait there they are...never mind I found them! No really a mod for that would be amazing. Maybe have somebody compose some pieces or something for it to...
Lair
I'd rather have a mod that changes the music to something that doesn't make my ears bleed. So you don't need any mods?

lol username
Correct, I can simply mute it. there's no need to... Yes. The music is often obnoxious, and the instruments are smack dab in the uncanny valley between synthesized and real. It's nothing I enjoy listening to, especially while attempting to focus on kart racing.

It's nothing I enjoy listening to, especially while attempting to focus on kart racing. Oh, but what about this one? Maybe you'd prefer a mod that replaces all songs with that track... Although, this is why I desperately wish that I had the proper software to create less-synthesized more-realistic music, because I would love to remix the LEGO Racers soundtrack... as well as other soundtracks, but that's beside the point. Anyways, to get back on topic, I seem to be one of the few people who don't mind the alternate music tracks. So long as I'm not racing on Knightmare-athon, anyways, because the circuit music track is the only one that truly fits that course, so the alternate music tracks turn it into "Race through the Fright Knights' kingdom while I play unfitting music". So, while I'm sure that some (such as Lair) will appreciate this mod, I'll pass for now. Nice job, though.

If you want a free, open-source program, you can always try LMMS. Rio has used it before, and he liked it.
Mr. Eight-Three-One
Honestly, half of the extra themes can be summed up with "race on track x while HVS plays unfitting music." Especially egregious (take a drink, tropers!) with Rocket Racer Run, which plays upbeat and happy music on the final course. Seriously, listen to this and tell me it honestly fits. But I do have to say it can be quite catchy. No, I don't care if it's smack dab in the uncanny valley between synthesized and real. And holy crap, has it actually been four years since I did those shoddy recordings?
Lair
Yes. The music is often obnoxious, and the instruments are smack dab in the uncanny valley between synthesized and real. It's nothing I enjoy listening to, especially while attempting to focus on kart racing. Well yeah, I had said myself in my LP that playing it again I see how weird the instruments sound. I don't find most of the music obnoxious or ear-bleeding, though (there are some non-circuit music tracks that are pretty bad - the one legoking linked to for example). No, it's not good either, but I'll still defend a few tracks like Amazon Adventure Ally and Knightmare-athon as being at least close to good, and a few of the space ones maybe. So, while I'm sure that some (such as Lair) will appreciate this mod, I'll pass for now. I probably won't, seeing as I don't mod Racers anyway for one, but like Jamesster sorta said it would be more interesting for a way to make new music. le717
The DL link isn't working. Fixed. The editor keeps having issue with chopping links that have spaces (%20) in the name.
