Ben24x7
I came up with an idea for a short film which is unfortunately not connected to either Lego, Rock raiders or mining. As I may've said in one of my Profile Feed notes that I was working on something called "The Unexpected agent" and "The Unexpected agent (and his apprentice): gunned down". Here I will try and work on these projects as much as I can (with other stuff in the works) and if you want to join (which is very unlikely as you will all ignore this) then just ask me and I'll see what I can do! Pictures!: George and Max's helicopter hat escape scene from "The Unexpected agent (and his apprentice): at gun point". Poster for "The Unexpected agent", an adventure involving George and Co. Concept art for a character called Jack Paperback Poster for the second film. This is just incase the movies are a success and if people ask for a third one. The Ace Railgun
Don't count your self off so quickly it looks like a very interesting idea. If you need help I could be a video editor! I am currently using FCPX and getting After effects very soon(like in a week). Along with photoshop so I'll be able to help in the editing of video and adding special effects. Ben24x7
Well... I like how you are willing to try Tahmira! The films (please note) will be drawn animated using a program called 'Pencil', a drawn animation application for the Mac but anyone can try their hand at doing some animation. Note the first film will defiantly involve Troll face (just for a few minutes though)!
The Ace Railgun
Well once exported you can send them to me and I can do some touch ups in afters effects since I can animate already 'filmed' footage or just create awesome transitions, will illustrator work? If that doesn't work is pencil available for Mac? Although I'd rather stick (pun intended) to video editing and special effects.
Ben24x7
I may have forgotten to say this but Yes, Pencil is an application for the Mac (and ONLY the Macintosh). I still need people who may be able to do drawn animation.
Fush
I see nothing stupid about this idea, and the concept art is actually pretty decent. This might actually turn out well, let's wait and see. Pencil is an application for the Mac (and ONLY the Macintosh).I have Pencil on my PC. It works fine in Windows, only certain export options are disabled. Ben24x7
I wasn't wanting anyone to respond to this because I thought they would feel sympathetic but I am surprised people think this is a good idea! I didn't know that Pencil would work on Windows so that means... Anyone who wants to help with animation can defiantly help. Just to say, the 'concept art' was originally plans or inspiration for the film(s) and I can't wait to see if this'll work! Ahh excellent I'd still like to stick with illustrator since I'm more acquainted with adobe stuff but I'll try out Paint and see if I can learn the program In a few days also just a heads up I will also be busy at work with Bionicle: Parodied, my novels, and few other things, so there may be some times that I can't do anything. But for the most part I should be free to help.
Ben24x7
I'll start work on posting up some Stickman animation tests onto YouTube and probably a tutorial for drawing certain characters (George, Max, etc).
The Ace Railgun
Or an easier way would be to just send us pictures with the characters and assign an episode or scene or character to each person. By the way what's the approximate length of each episode?
Ben24x7
Interesting idea! I'll have a try! Unfortunatly, This won't be put into sections, It will be put together as a movie/film.
Ben24x7
This picture doesn't exactly explain how to draw but here is George in "exploded" view (in a few positions as well): (Note the head should be white) I will need many more stickmen (either male or female) for background characters (but can also be used as characters to either help or interact with the main character. Jimbob
I must say I do find your drawings rather interesting, in a complimentary way. I like the style of your stickmen. If you can accomplish any kind of animation with it, I'd be interested to see it.
Ben24x7
I do have a few animations involving this stickman but each is a test. I'll see if I can post up some clips onto YouTube. I also have different designs which I collected from other people. I will also change the title on Sunday to: The Unexpected agent PROJECT. got bored after a while that I created this: I got the idea from here: http://www.rockraidersunited.org/topic/4778-non-lego-rock-raiders-art/#entry88955 Does anyone want to work on the music? I've got a little melody for one during flight and rescue scenes. I am still writing a description of what happens.
Ben24x7
I am still working on the story line but here is a little part of it: It was Bulletpoint, he looked even more evil with all the darkness that surrounded him. He walked down the heap of rubble, swinging his sword in several circles before resting it beside him. George stared at his foe, when he last saw Bulletpoint he had fallen into a pit full of toxic gas, if he did survive the fall then he would've been killed by the gases. But he survived somehow and yet George was wondering what happened. Bulletpoint answered as though he could read George's mind; "I belive this'll surprise you...". Bulletpoint walked towards George and lifted his army hat off, George gaped at what was revealed. The bottom of Bulletpoint's face was pure head and face, the top third was replaced with cogs and gears and springs of all shapes and sizes. George almost fell onto the ground in surprise... ...Bulletpoint was a Stickdroid!!! All of that is an extract for my work on The Unexpected agent (and his apprentice) 2: gunned down. McJobless
I recommend you just use a scripting program and lay off writing it like a story. The problem is that it sounds highly generic and weak to at the moment. If you use a script program to only write down the bare basics, you'll notice it too, and fix everything easier. Ben24x7
Now you say it Tahmira a trailer would be nice. But I need someone to help create the story/script for the first film. And I still need someone to help make music (I do have two pieces of music, one is complete the other needs to be recorded).
Ben24x7
[sorry for doble posting] Another piece of Concept art!: This will be the fight scene in The Unexpected agent. The script still needs to be written and I do beg for members to send suggestions for the first film. And (some more): First scene in The Unexpected agent while using my home-made music 'Welcome to the CITY'. The music 'Welcome to the CITY' is up on my blog post about music. Check it out! Ben24x7
I have some news for you al, I am starting up a "competition"... The thing is that it really isn't a competition and no one wins any prizes. Any way here is my *ahem* "competition"; You know who when watching a film that there are others around the character like in scenes in a city or whatever (they are called extras), any way I need many extras for this project to work out... To summarise it... I need more stickmen for background characters. Now, if you want to enter then send a picture of any stickman (I suggest that it should be customised to your taste) and also note any thing I need to know like how the stickman walks or behaviour around others. Now you don't have to send just one, you are allowed to enter as many times as you like. Competition ends when I think I have enough extras... I'd better stop typing, my keyboard is acting up due to low batteries.
