LEGO Rock Raiders Windows 8 - Can only run RGB Emulation (Very Slow:( )

As topic says, i can only run the game in RGB Emulation, if i try to run in Hardware, it just goes black for less than 1 sec (more like a flicker) and nothing happens (the application shuts down as this happens).

 

I tried running with different parameters to no avail.

 

I got 64 bit version if that matters.

 

I got 8 gb ram.

 

ATI 6970 2GB Graphic Card

I5 760 4Ghz CPU

1920x1200 Monitor.

Hard drives and SSD(Primary)

Ah yes, Windows 8. It refuses to play LRR nicely in fullscreen. I'm afraid this happens with everyone running Win8.

 

The only solution (until I update Cafeteria to change window size) is to use windowed mode: http://www.rockraidersunited.org/topic/3533-guide-run-rock-raiders-in-windowed-mode/

I can´t run hardware in window mode either:(

It just opens a window and immediately closes.

Is there nothing that can be done?

Would really like to play it.

 

May be worth mentioning.

 

I do not have the "original" version. I got the Swedish version with Swedish Voices.

So it may be a bit different, but i doubt it matters.

I've never been able to get RGB Emulation to work for me.

 

In most cases the problems are graphics card compatibility, will W8 allow you to install Directx6?

Really, for me it´s the other way around (on W8 atleast).

 

Probably, i think it doesn´t detect my graphic card, i tried using an Direct3d to OpenGL emulation but that didn´t help either.

 

I think i installed it, as if i open the installer, it says "Reinstall", so it must be installed;S
