Eagle98
Apparently my game was having problems and I had to re-install it. I uninstalled my game and ran the setup, and this is where the problem begins. When I run the installer, my cursor changes to the one with the pointer and the sand timer, but after a while, it reverts back to normal and the computer does nothing. The process "Setup.exe" can be seen in the list of proccesses, but there's no sign of it running anywhere else. I tried all compability modes, NT 4.0, 95, 98/Me and 2000 and run it in both 16- and 32-bit but the setup refuses to do anything no matter what. I run a Windows XP computer. Can someone help me? If you want, I can record it for ya. .: Eagle 98 :.
TheEPICtrainrider
Did you try clicking on 'Setup.exe'? And is this problem with the game or the installer?
Eagle98
The installer, and I have directly opened the installer straight from the disk.
TheEPICtrainrider
The best I can say is File corruption. I say wait until more knowledgeable people come on and ask them.
Anonymouse
Sorry, this is a very simple possible solution, forgive me if you've already done so: Check the disk for dust and scratches.
Acmex
What was the memory usage of the processes and the Setup.exe process. If it could not amass enough free ram( not likely) the program may not run.
Eagle98
(Out of all the files, WHY THE INSTALLER?) Acmex: It's about 3MB. I definately have about 2GB of RAM (I mean the computer, not me) Anon: Scratch + dust-free. Raise your hand if you want video footage.
Eagle98
Heh... I've found that there was an .exe file on the disk. I copied it to my Program Files folder, I had my WAD files (they were all backed up) and I can run RR...sort of. I pinpointed that the problem was in my lego.cfg file. So, can someone send me a usable lego.cfg file? Or is is against the rules? <<Eagle '98>>
