McJobless
I'm not sure if this has been confirmed, but will Microsoft force Xbox One buyer to also buy a two years subcription to Xbox Live? Aren't they already making enough money...They confirmed Xbox Live will still be a paid subscription system. Not sure if it's a requirement for 2 years. The Ace Railgun
Honestly I could care less about console gaming but if a had to chose it'd have to be Playstation, but I'm quite happy with my PS3 (that I use for mostly Japanese imports and exclusives) so I don't think I'll be buying a new system anytime soon. Cirevam
I found more statistics: I'm not sure what to make of this console generation. The last console I seriously wanted was the Gamecube, and the Wii was a bit "yeah sure, let's get one." I don't have any real interest in these new consoles, but maybe that's because I have a computer that's not trash. Before I got this one, consoles were my only option for quality gaming experiences. I buy consoles not because of graphics or anything (since I can get better on my PC) but because I prefer different control styles for different games. E.G I almost always buy racing games on consoles because I prefer the controller than the keyboard.
Cirevam
I prefer different control styles for different games. E.G I almost always buy racing games on consoles because I prefer the controller than the keyboard. So buy a USB controller for 25 bucks instead of a brand new console for a few hundred or more, since you said electronics in Australia are priced ridiculously high. I have a Logitech F310 controller that looks like a PS2 controller with Xbox face buttons, and it works on PC, Xbox, and PS3. I use it for racing games since keyboards don't offer much precision. If I really want to get old-school I can break out my Gravis Destroyer joystick that lacks rumble even though it's advertised to have it. The only problem is that consoles get so many exclusives so you don't have the option of a different console or even a PC. So you might get different control schemes for different games simply because they're on different consoles, or you'll get a crappy PC port and can't change the controls without modding.
