Fush
I've been wanting to do this for a while but kept running into issues. Wheel here it is- a LEGO Mario Kart It's based on the "Standard Kart"s from MKDS. SO those issues I mentioned? Those white things on the side. No matter what I do they absolutely will not look right, even thought the rest of it does ;-; You like? Ben24x7 and Drill Master
lu9
Nah it's fine for me I liked it. I bet it would look even awesomer if it got rendered on LDD-to-POVray
Drill Master
Looks cool. I wasn't a fan of MK, but still really good. :)
Jimbob
Wow, I love this. I also vote for a POV-Ray render, it would look amazing. Perhaps you could add a figure with these decals (scroll down to the bottom), or perhaps these?
Fush
Perhaps you could add a figure with these decals (scroll down to the bottom), or perhaps these? How do I add custom decals in LDD? Also it looks like I'm going to be needing decals for Peach, Wario, Toad and Daisy now. It seems a POV-Ray render is wanted but I lack the ability to do one. I'll try and see if someone'd be willing to render one for me if and when I acquire and apply all the necessary decals.
Jimbob
Huzzah! That's fantastic. Reminds me of when I used to dominate Mario Kart DS You'll need to use the LIF Extractor first. If you have a LIF file in AppData, use that one, otherwise the file in your default installation. Then follow the steps posted below in that topic to mod them. Just remember that when rendering, you'll have to revert the textures to standard ones and use the custom decal swapper in the LDD-to-POV Converter to add your textures. Hmmm... Maybe I could write a tutorial on this seeing as there isn't a proper one. I've had enough experience with LDD texture modding and POV-Ray to write about both. RobExplorien
Huzzah! That's fantastic. Reminds me of when I used to dominate Mario Kart DS Neat indeed. And the last time I picked up my DS is already three years ago.
Fush
Looking up pictures of the Karts in MKDS (as I no longer have my copy of the game for reference) I see a couple things that could use fixing. Will revise.
