Crash on start

So I've installed the game, installed the d3drm.dll but when I try running in Direct3D mode the screen just flashes black and I get a CTD in both fullscreen and windowed. Emulation starts but fullscreen crashes when I select a mission and both fullscreen and windowed have missing textures on the "rocks falling" effect in the menu. I already tried the steps in the Troubleshooting topic to no avail.

My specs are:

Intel i5 @ 3,4GHz

HD7870

8GB RAM

Win7 Ultimate x64

Hey there. Really don't want to be "that one guy" on all forum topics who responds to issues with "me too", but I'm getting exactly the same thing. Can anyone help here? As far as I can tell, it's a DirectX issue (maybe?). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know the RGB emaluation is generally screwed up... I assume by CTD you mean Crash To Desktop? When does that happen? Before the main screen, starting a level, or when? And is there any error message?

Reading is fun! One thing that can help get you a little further is to disable the cutscene movies from playing. If your game is prepared for modding, open Lego.cfg and look for the line "DontPlayAVIS FALSE" and change the FALSE to TRUE. If you have a diskless version of the game, remove the disk when playing. If you really want the movies, try downloading ffdshow which is a driver pack that supports a bunch of different video formats.

Additionally, try using integrated graphics to run LRR instead of your graphics card, if you have one. Many Intel chipsets support integrated graphics.
