STUDZ
Remember when the DeLorean from Back To The Future was confirmed as a LEGO set coming from LEGO CUUSOO? Well, we've finally got a first glimpse of it from the July calendar/newsletter for the LEGO Store. According to the LEGO Store, this set will be coming on a specific date: July 18th. No word yet on whether or not it will come with minifigures and/or extra parts to create the other versions of the time machine (The version seen here was from Part II). Prices are mum as well. But one thing is certain: "Once this baby hits store shelves, you're gonna see some serious bricks." Arthuriel
Hmm, yeah... ...the bonnet looks "Interesting" (a.k.a. "Aaargh!") I wonder, why they haven't choosen the original bonnet. Was the big superflat roof brick too expensive or too special? *imagines, how my project as a "final" model would look* *shudders a bit* PS: Some people on bricksfanatics (and on the model page on cuusoo, too) are complaining, too. lol username
I wonder, why they haven't choosen the original bonnet. Was the big superflat roof brick too expensive or too special? It made it impossible to modify the car to fit each of the three movies without awkward inconsistencies. And yes, it has minifigures, as you can see there. STUDZ
STUDZ
Hey, I was going to post that tonight! Still, I'm thinking about buying TWO of these: one for myself, and one to keep in the box and sell at a later date... Because believe me, these things will sell like mad in the aftermarket. Not necessarily for LEGO, but for its value as BTTF merchandise. (That, and I want an "OUTATIME" license plate )
Olivus Prime
Even with the slightly naff modifications, I still can't believe this is happening, it's just awesome. If one of the CUUSOO Ecto-1s gets produced then most of my LEGO dreams will have come true. STUDZ
