Rock raider 3D pictures

I know that I shouldn't post this here but where else can I put it? No idea... Anyway, I am starting on some Rock raiders sketches. Now note I have only started doing them around this week.

Here is my first one of Axle (one noticeable mistake is how I spelt Axle as 'Axel'):

When creating this drawing I used a physical version of Axle and a Star Wars Darth Vader torch to get precise details, I must admit that I edited this in Adobe Photoshop 6 because I needed to crop it and also the head wasn't proportioned right.

And (like I've said in most of my topics) if you have any RR drawings/Sketches then feel free to post them here.

I know this "post your stuff up" thing won't work because it certainly didn't work the last few times...

That's a good drawing, you've captured his details well. Nice shading too, however the legs seem a little awkward in comparison to the rest of the body (they're a little small). I look forward to seeing more.

You don't need to keep making these doubtful comments :)

Drill Master

Well, I am really impressed by this. It is already better than what I could ever draw. I too agree with the shading. This is really good. Keep it up! :)

Nicely well done, much better than how my minifigure drawings usually turn out.

(I can never seem to get the proportions anywhere near accurate.)

@JimbobJeffers, Thank you for pointing out a mistake with the legs, maybe in future I'll fix that and post a fixed one here.

@EXRicky, If you need to make your minifigures in your drawings accurate I suggest you get a medium or large minifigure torch and a real minifigure of the one you're trying to draw. The real minifigure can be used for printings on the minifigure as well as add-ons, the torch is just to get at small details. Just a suggestion.

Well, I've edited the first image, once again, in Adobe Photoshop 6. I fixed the toes a bit and I swapped around 'e' and 'l' in his name.

Well, like most peoples projects and stuff, I am putting this project to either a close or a pause, but I am going to recycle this topic for something else. I have started work on some Rock Raiders 3D pictures. I have made two versions at the moment:

The original picture, simply a cave, default Rock raider (from the PC game) and a light coming from lava at the end of the cave.

Just this evening I added an extra item and rotated the Rock raider a bit:

And I also applied Motion Blur to the Granite Grinder, making it feel like it is moving though it is a stationary picture. I might start adding some actual Rock raider characters, such as Sparks, Jet, Axle, you name it. I'll try and make a new shot of the area and probably expand the cave since all that it is is a wall with a hole.

I'll post up more, And I'll change the title to fit neatly. If you want a better look at the pictures then click on them and a bigger, more detailed version should appear.

Okay, I made a mistake, so... Another picture:

Here is a 192x108 version:

and a 1920x1080 version:

The only difference is the size and quality of the images. These two pictures also show why my previous pictures have the Granite Grinder facing away from the camera, it doesn't have a Rollcage or a Drill.

Apparently BrickSmith, MLCad and LeoCAD don't have a Rollcage piece. Could any LeoCAD, MLCad or BrickSmith users please help me by making the Rollcage or at least help request it. These two pictures also holds something else the previous ones didn't, try and find it.

I have also (like I said while the DataBase errors were up) got my first YouTube channel and by the deepest pits of Loch Ness it requires a Google+ account when I could've used my GMail one. But here is a Rock Raiders 3D trailer for those who may not have seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q27RRF2ZIBw

Oh, and here is a nice comment from Annoymouseable:

"Very cool. I've been planning on doing some sort of Blender and RR thing for ages myself, just never actually started. Wait actually I did. But I had a bunch of difficulty using the models from LRR in Blender because they're kind of very optimised for low-poly counts. And then I realised that that would would be copyright infringement. Talking about which. Just cause you can download music for free doesn't mean that you can use it however you want. You are violating Valve's intellectual property."

And I decided to make a comeback:

"First off, I purchased the music from ITunes which was where Valve put their music. Since I have paid for it I can use it just so as long as I point out that it is their property and not mine. Secondly, if you want Blender to work with Lego models then I suggest you get LeoCAD but if you have a Mac then I am so sorry, If you want me to I can send you my exported models of The Hover Scout, The Granite Grinder and the Small Transport Truck (not included in this clip)."
