Its a cool game that I put out on the CBox one day. get it here : http://www.neurohack.com/transcendence/ The latest version can actually be found in the forum, but its still an RC Anyways the game involves flying around, killing pirates and other vermin early, selling the loot for more fuel and guns, and making your way to the core. Mind you, due to the alpha status, you CAN'T, let me emphasize that CAN'T win. Even if you do make it to the last system, you die when you gate out. Its also open ended NOW, but when 2.0 rolls around...it will still be open ended just extended farther. 3.0 will be the final release, or so the timeline says @TheDoctor: Not bad, but I hope thats all from Endari, if not, the RNG probably doesen't like you.
