Nothing happens after splash screen

Hey all, so I haven't played this game since the windows 98 days and am trying to get it to work on windows 7. I bought a legit version of the game off Ebay and installed it via the disk with few problems. When I try and play the game however it brings up the splash screen which hits 100% real quick, after that though, nothing happens. The splash screen goes away and my computer acts as if I didn't try to run anything. Any ideas why? I tried a few of the standard things I saw posted on this site; installing the missing .dll file, various compatibility mode configurations but none of those have helped.

PC specs:

Windows 7 Enterprise

Intel® Core i7 CPU @ 3.07GHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470

6GB RAM

64-bit OS

Everyone's computer is different, and LRR is one of those games that certain settings work only for certain computers, so only general advise can be given.

First, did you read through this already? http://www.rockraidersunited.org/topic/3263-game-troubleshooting-frequently-asked-questions/

Second, you may not be the first person to experience this. Have you tried using the search bar and see if there is another topic like this?

Third, you haven't installed any mods, correct?

Fourth, what kind of compatibility settings do you have applied?

EDIT: Fifth, are you running LRR with Admin rights?

Sixth, what game graphics settings are you using? RGB, Direct 3D HAL?

I'm wondering what this splash screen is. I remember a much older topic where someone also mentioned a splash screen that seemed completely new to most of us. Maybe it's similar, and if it's the same screen then we can look for that topic and see if we ended up fixing that.

Or maybe LRR has a splash screen normally and I've modded LRR so hard that I don't see it anymore :P

@le717

1) Yup, read through it, tried some stuff but none worked

2) Yes I have searched, didn't find anything relevant but it's certainly possible I was just using the wrong keywords

3) No mods at all

4) I have tried all kinds of compatability settings, none have had a positive impact

5) Yes I run with admin rights

6) I'm not sure, where might I check that?

@Cirevam I'm pretty sure its standard. It's the first (and in my case only) thing that shows up when I run the executable file. Shows a picture of the Rock Raiders in a cave with a loading bar at the bottom that hits 100% instantaneously and vanishes afterwards.

He's just talking about the first loading screen then. So I guess that means that no videos play either; no LEGO intro, DDI screen, or Rock Raiders intro movie...

Same problems as me then i guess.

your able to run the game if you run it from directory "LegoRR.Exe" and choose the first option

your able to see startup vids the 1 before and after the brain icon thingy.

your choosing New game. white Stones fall down on screen and a small lag accours.

Selecting Mission you can see the movie but after the bar goes to 100% your game crashes.

running from Standar or Advanced options. you never get longer than the splash art.

would be truly grateful if someone had any sort of solution to this.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

12GB Ram

AMD FX Eight-Core Processor

Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 XT 2GB GDDR5

EDIT:

Yes im using a CD i got when i was around age of 9 so Yes no crack or lame s***z like dat

EDIT2:

somehow this work perfectly without anything done except than getting dat d3drm.dll file or whatever it was called on my laptop... Home premium lol
