Traditional MOC: AP-AG Racer

Hey all. This is my second Wipeout inspired anti-gravity racer, This was loosely based on my smaller SR1 MOC. I really like the Wipeout series of games and i just really wanted to make a bigger one so here it is.

 

 

It has two air brakes on either side and two bigger ones on the back as well as one underneath it. It also has landing gear. I've put on some of the weapons on it but I couldn't fit all on. More pictures:

 

 

I also made a boarding ramp for it, a bit crappy but hey I was running out of pieces at this point:

A lot of people try to cover up all the studs on their models for some reason, it's cool to see something a bit different, more... LEGO-ish. Good work.

I like the idea of your model, although I feel like the colors don't all mix together very well. One example would be those white corner plates...I feel like doing them in another color would look better. I think a black/dark grey contrast might be better than black/light grey.

It makes a model more smooth and polished. Some of the best builders only reveal studs strategically which makes it look even more awesome. In a dirtier/grittier sci-fi, like Steampunk, revealed studs make it look less like a polished machine and more like something thrown together by an eccentric engineer, whereas in a more polished, futuristic sci-fi, covering those studs makes it cleaner.

I forgot to mention that this is another one of my older MOCs.

 

Yeah those two white corner plates are the only other colour I have them in apart from green. This model pretty much used up most of my plates, hence the colours.
