alan
FZ-7 Security Tank Number of bricks: 1353 Time it took to build + concept: 2 days Thanks to JimbobJeffers for the inspiration to this car. Source here The FZ-7 Security Tank is not made for attack. It is used to transport VIPs or very valuable goods that are really expensive. All this is protected in the cabin in the center of the car, surrounded by tons of steel and concrete. Additionally the front is formed in a special way so that even barricades, walls, houses, rocks and so on can be broken through. The front is also the entrance to the cabin: The two front parts act as some kind of doors that can only be opened when the holder (center in the front, folding upwards when opened) is out of the way. The driver does not have to see the street manually because first there are cameras all around the vehicle and second if the driver misses anything that is in the way, the car will be definitely less damaged than the missed thing. The driver sits at the side next to the cabin. He has got an own entrance which also good enough protected. He and the cabin are separated by a special kind of glass that absorbs any projectiles or explosions. Because this vehicle weighs alot it is powered by three strong helicopter engines that bring the car up to 100mph (which is very much for such a monster). The spoiler at the back keeps the giant on the ground even if you are driving down a hill. The front has two more extras: both sides have hinged lights that are used in the night (or to take scary pictures of it in the darkness) and - if you open these parts completely - there are two lasers on each side that can pre-damage stuff the vehicle is heading for. But that feature is only used in really critical situations! Enough of the description, here are the pictures: 1. Front-left view 2. side view (left side, including door for the so-called driver 3. left rear view. You can see the three exhausts 4. rear view 5. right rear view 6. side view (right) 7. front-right view 8. front view 9. the hinges for the opening of the front doors 10. wheels, side armoring and driver's door 11. front doors, in the middle: the "holder" (see text) 12. the roof, also armored 13. the three exhausts and the spoiler 14. holder opened, now the 2 doors can move 15. first sight into the cabin I hope you like it, ... please give some feedback Car CrazeXVI and Jimbob

BobaFett2
A render would be good. The construction of the sides on the front feels a bit haphazard and messy. The top, too, seems a little too busy for this sort of model. What is the raised section in the back for? Otherwise, this is quite good.
alan
The construction of the sides on the front feels a bit haphazard and messy. That was on purpose and I would show you a link to another vehicle that uses this irregular armoring, too - but I cannot find it anymore... What is the raised section in the back for? At first I thought of a shield generator that uses this round plate to surround the vehicle with it. But it is armored enough so I guess this might be some kind of satellite dish that makes it impossible for enemies to locate the vehicle on the radars. Jimbob
I think it's really great, although perhaps a little bumpy for my tastes. I'd certainly feel safe riding in it though Excellent job! I like the camera idea, reminds me of this... Please someone tell me you get the reference, for my childhood's sake.
apemax
Really nice work alan, reminds me a bit of the riot van from the PS1 game G-Police. I get that reference JimbobJeffers, Used to watch Captain Scarlet when I was a kid. It does remind you of that a bit.
BobaFett2
By the raised thing in the back I actually meant the part that looks like the tail of a race car.
