I've tried adding (in the CFG)

Start FP TRUE

to a level in the CFG. When I start the level, the screen is orange. I know what you're thinking - 'oh, just go to 3rd Person view,'

but whenever I click '3rd Person' on the little menu the game crashes. This does not happen anywhere else.

Do not that the game screen has no grayed-out options. What I mean by this is that when you usually go to First Person, the 1st Person icon becomes gray. This does not happen. Also note that if I switch to third person via means of debug key '3', the game does not crash and won't whenever I muck with first/second/third person settings.

The Rock Raider is the only raider in that level, the dugg map is not hidden - it is open, BUT he is driving a Hover Scout

Two images: The first is when you start the level and have clicked past Chief's speech. The second is after using the debug '3' key.

(BTW it's orange because it was originally a Lava level and I haven't changed the fog)

Things to note about this: (just copied off my gallery notes :P )

While in the stuck position

Clicking 'Top View' causes game crash and clicking 'Eye View' or 'Shoulder View' doesn't do anything.

The Rock Raider is driving a Hover Scout in the top of the screen.

Notice that the Shoulder View option is shaded out, as if I was in it. But I'm not - I'm in Top View.

Notice also that the Hover Scout/Rock Raider is not selected.

My suspicion is that it's because he's driving a vehicle.

Ok. I told the raider (in the OL) not to drive the vehicle and the same thing happens... to an extent. The orange screen still appears, but now the Shoulder View is blacked out. After telling to switch to Top View (by clicking it, not with debug keys) the game doesn't crash. :D After then back switching to Shoulder or Eye View the orange thingy doesn't happen.

This makes sense.

But why would it do what it did when he was driving a vehicle? :S
