LEGO Racers How do I play lego racers on mac? Please help

Hi, I recently got a macbook and i suddenly have the urge to play lego racers again. My friend told me I should be able to play it using something called Wine. I downloaded it and the game and I tried it but I just get an error message and it wont play at all. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Open up the wine configuration and set the Windows version compatibility to Windows 98, or if that doesn't work, Windows 95. I don't know what build of Wine (a source build vs. a 3rd party build like Wine Bottler) your using to tell you exactly how to do that, but it runs very well under wine with this one setting, even in the not-so-good 3rd party builds like Wine Bottler at least the last time I tried in Wine Bottler, I've been using osxwinebuilder for a while now and am much happier.

Thanks for the reply. Hmmm I tried that and it is still the same. Maybe I'm doing something else wrong? I downloaded it and theres loads of files like Circuit1.tun, Builder.tun etc. I try running all of the files including the exe files and it either says it doesn't know what program to open them with or for exe ones it just says there was an unexpected error. I can give you the error code thing if you want? Thanks.

The exe file is the one you need to open. The error code would be a good start, but the wine output would be more useful. Is there a legoracers.icd file?

Arg it wont let me copy and paste the error code for some reason, and its huge. No there is no legoracers.icd file. There are no .icd files at all infact.

Ok, so it's not a Safedisc issue. You might need to use ctrl + c instead of cmd + c. The Wine output should have everything you need. Some 3rd party Wine builds put it in a log file.

I can copy it but when i paste it it just shows up as a empty white box... I can save the log file, is there a way I can attatch it to a comment?

Arg! No it doesn't work on there either. I copy the text and I paste it here but it just pastes nothing! I have downloaded something called X11 too if that helps? I was told I would need that also to run windows games. Ive downloaded the game off two different sites now and they're exactly the same. Im stumped.

You could just past it in the topic. Also, if you are uning an old version of Wine (one wthout the Mac display driver that was added a few months ago, IDK what build your using), you are going to need to install XQuartz, the X11 included with Lion is old and they removed it entirely from the subsequent versions of OS X.
