Mr. Eight-Three-One Posted November 22, 2013 Share Posted November 22, 2013 Well, let's just say everyone realized a cool format existed called the GIF that would let you animate pictures, and since 256 colors was perfectly normal back then, everyone completely fell for the gimmick that it was and infested web pages with as many animated GIFs as possible, with the mentality that more was better.
