PlatonicWaffles
I loved the film - easily one of my favourite animated movies of all time now. I was a teensy bit saddened about the lack of shout-outs to the old LEGO games, but Johnny Thunder appearing as a cameo was more than enough for me. Also Unikitty is LEGO brick me. Ayliffe
So, Sky Movies just posted their Christmas advert with a family journeying through several films, including a wintery TLM (skip to about 0:32 in the video) http://youtu.be/PSA22k1rxlU EDIT: We've already seen some sections of this in various trailers and such, but I think this is the first time the entire video has been available online. I think this is also the video that was shown at SDCC in 2013, but I'm not entirely sure about that. http://youtu.be/P4RT2tBtetc emily, Ben24x7, PlatonicWaffles and 1 other

Playmobil already created one interactive movie. It's called The Secret of Skull Island and my sister watched and "played" it on DVD.
lol username
Playmobil (which I keep typing as "Playbobile" for some reason) also has some video games: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playmobil#Video_games Most of them look rather simple (oriented at younger kids), but this one looks a bit more interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0VCT3zIkPc As for a movie... Heh. Not sure if I'm surprised or not. No clue what to expect. Does Playmobil have a dedicated following? Quisoves Potoo
MaelstromIslander
I have some playmobile, but i'm pretty sure i don't count as a big following unless you clone me a bunch of times. No, it doesn't really have a massive following as much as LEGO does.
Ayliffe
Sorry for the massive 4-month bump, buuuuuuuuut... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk_HHcG5Wik About 1 second of TLM glory at 0:29 in this Superbowl ad. emily
These Big Game ads are just so crazy go nuts expensive. "We would like to pay you to put down everything and animate a one-second shot of your characters footballing." x3 plus whatever other places they got the other clips from. It isn't cheap to request something like that. But it pays off, because everyone in America is watching the Big Game. It's like a license to spend as much as you want on an ad. Crazy. A country which more than half the population hold and weild a gun, a country full from head to toe of porn... ...America is just crazy all the time, no matter when you claim it. le717
An article from one of the screenwriters about TLM's third act and a bit of history behind it just surfaced. Also contains part of the movie script for the scene. I love how they describe the man upstairs. http://www.vulture.com/2014/12/how-the-lego-movies-surprise-twist-worked.html emily
Ayliffe
So apparently Rob Schrab will be directing The Lego Movie 2. This is his first go at directing a film, but according to Wikipedia he's done some other work on TV and also some comic book stuff. I've honestly never heard of him, but it'll be interesting to see his spin on the TLM-verse (yes, that's a thing now ). EDIT: According to Mashable a new title has been revealed for TLM2, and the sequel will be officially called... *drumroll*... "The Lego Movie Sequel." Um. That makes sense I suppose. Ben24x7
According to the source that Ayliffe linked to, the Lego Movie Sequal has been pushed back to 2018, or maybe it's because it was estimated to be released on 2017 before the estimation was reconsidered. Nah, we've known about TLM2 (or as it's now known, TLMS ) being put back to 2018 since the original announcement of The Lego Batman Movie taking it's place in 2017. So in case anyone hasn't been keeping up, here's the full schedule of Lego films over the next couple of years or so: 2015: Diddly squat. No really, I got nuthin'. 2016: The Lego Ninjago Movie 2017: The Lego Batman Movie 2018: The Lego Movie 2 Sequel 2019 and Beyond: Nothing's been announced yet, but it's pretty much inevitable that we'll get more films as long as none of the others become a major box-office flop.... EDIT: According to Brick Fanatics a "TLM 4D experience" thingy will be launched at various LEGOLANDs at some point in the near future. The article also states that they're working closely with Warner Bros to create it, and it will be a brand new short. I'm guessing that it'll be animated by Animal Logic since they've done a TON of other promotional stuff since last year's release, and if so I'll be looking forward to seeing it...
