List for amount of pieces per lego set?

Heyo fellow Lego Fans,

Is there a list somewhere, which lists all needed lego stones for a specific set of piece of a set?

I have a lot of Lego in single bricks stored in 3 boxes. I would really love to re-build the Rock Raider set, but looking through 3 huge boxes (we are not sure, how big the boxes are...but each one should hold 30 liters) of lego stones step by step is tedious.

If anyone has any information, what kind of lego bricks I need and how many, that would be cool.

Otherwise I have to find either the original instruction manuals or grab them as PDFs and do this piece by piece :/

Greetings,

Maxunit

EDIT:

Google Fu was on my side and blessed me with this Website:

http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/4990-1

It is the Inventory List for the Rock Raiders HQ, others are also listed there.

There is also a website called Rebrickable, where you can keep an online list of all your parts. You can then browse official LEGO sets (and custom MOCs too) and it will tell you what parts you already have to build those sets, and what parts you still need.

It's just a bit of a tedious task listing every brick when you have a large collection, so I have yet to use it. :P

Thanks for the link :)

Did some digging today and I still have the original manuals from the entire Rock Raiders Set, but checking through all those big boxes will still be a pita. Hopefully I will find all the requires bricks and be able to re-build it :)

At some point, my mom and me thought to just put all lego sets we had into pieces and store them in boxes. Not only my stuff, but also what my older brothers collected. Stuff dates back to the mid 80s, maybe even older. Still have the really old Star Wars Set and whatnot.

I myself would suggest http://brickset.com as a nice place to find the info you are looking for. In addition to parts per set lists, it also has databases instructions, sets, bricks, minifigures, parts, and images. I use it to keep track of all of my sets and it seems like just what you are looking for.

Bricklink is known for buying and selling but it also provides inventories, which are of course tied right in with the stores, so you can easily find sets/parts/minifigures/whatever and buy them with a few clicks: http://www.bricklink.com/
