Jimbob
I had a little spare money and went to my local LEGO store. Fushigisaur had >convinced me >enough to go buy some Mixels, so I bought all three black ones and two of the yellow ones (sorry, I don't know the names ). They had nine racks but chose to spread those five across them all, rather than stock the whole series. Anyway, after building the standard models, I was inspired by the awesomely crazy appearances and their lack of symmetry. So I broke 'em all apart and built... Gary. I had no plan at all when building this, other than the initial "He's gots to hav lots of teh eyez, leik EIGHT EYEZ WOOOAAAH". I just stuck one part together after another and improvised the whole thing, so there were few occasions when I had to take something apart to build it differently. Oh yeah, he farts electricity. He's pretty poseable, particularly his head. And his main two eyes spin around, while his jaw opens and closes. Little things like that to add life to it. Gary's the first MOC I've made in a long time (since before entering the 'Dark Ages') that I've actually been really proud of . I don't want to change him in any way. He's gonna sit on my desk 4everz and be my l'il buddy. Hence I got a little overexcited and wrote a whole essay about him that you probably skimmed through. EDIT: Ah, my 1,111th post! A nice way to remember this. Quisoves Potoo, Arthuriel, STUDZ and 6 others
Phantom Terror
Words cannot describe how adorable this is. The name is also cute, and fits well with the MOC. For what you had to work with, considering the Mixel's mis-matched and detrimental part supply, this is very nice! The use of the new mini-balljoints is great. I didn't really see the range of parts as a limitation though, rather a challenge, it was great to work out how to construct him with the parts available. detrimental part supply Fush
Brigs
Well... That certainly was interesting! Could somebody inform me how to resize an image? ProfessorBrickkeeper, Alcom Isst, STUDZ and 2 others
The Ace Railgun
Gary When I saw his name was Gary, I thought It was going to be a snail...Nice model though, I like the eyes. le717
aidenpons
Could somebody inform me how to resize an image? If you've uploaded it to RRU, you then go to your image in the gallery and find the 'Large' size under 'Options.' Then click on it directly (as in the image itself) and that'll be large. If you haven't, boot up something like Microsoft Picture Manager and find 'Resize.' Anyway, WHAT IS HE? A quadrupedal spider with teeth?
Jimbob
Well... That certainly was interesting! -snipsaywhat- Could somebody inform me how to resize an image? Wha? I don't even... Wha? Gary When I saw his name was Gary, I thought It was going to be a snail...Nice model though, I like the eyes. Well, I call almost everything I own 'Jimbob', but this model was just so deserving of the name 'Gary' . Also, thank you! Anyway, WHAT IS HE? A quadrupedal spider with teeth? Close, but he's actually a rare species of Tri'impli from the planet Clom. And yes, I did just make that up on the spot. Oh gosh... I'm getting too attached to this thing. aidenpons
aidenpons
Oh gosh... I'm getting too attached to this thing. Awww, he's so cute like lolz you should totes register him as a real pet and attack any1 who touches him.. hes like so cutest!!one!1 [/extensive_sarcasm] Close, but he's actually a rare species of Tri'impli from the planet Clom Oh wow. And this too. *scrolls down to the bottom of the first page* Implications of LHC results for TeV-scale physics? What's that got to do with a bunch of Lego bricks? And I was 0% surprised to find that 'Clom' is something from Dr. Who. EDIT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_planets Clom is the home planet of the Abzorbaloff mentioned by the creature in the 2006 series episode Love & Monsters, as being the twin planet of Raxacoricofallapatorius. In The Stolen Earth, Clom is one of the 27 planets that have been taken out of time and space by Davros and the Daleks. In hearing that the Daleks have taken Clom the Doctor remarks "Clom's gone? Who'd want Clom?" In Revenge of the Slitheen, one of the Slitheen characters is heard to say "For the love of Clom!" in frustration. There is a Disneyland on Clom (mentioned in The Girl Who Waited). This sounds remarkably like Doctor Who to me. Someone has TOO MUCH TIME on their hands. Quisoves Potoo

Everyone has already touched on the points, so I will say this: clever use of the 360 tutorial you wrote. He's gonna sit on my desk 4everz and be my l'il buddy. Granted, it wasn't very hard, but I appreciate it nonetheless. I honor you with the Frobisher award. EDIT: I didn't actually mention Jimbob's creation. How rude of me. Gary is as mad as a box of frogs. And all the better for it. I'm glad to see the Mixel pieces getting a lot of good, creative use. The eye pieces, while so simple, are also remarkably effective. In short, multo bene! I'd give you an award, if I could just think of a sufficiently insane one. aidenpons
