lol username
A new contest launched on ReBrick this morning, to find the name for an upcoming LEGO Pirates ship set to be released in 2015. On Monday (the 7th of April) ReBrick is launching a contest to find a name for a new LEGO Pirate ship. The contest only runs from April 7th until April 13th. The winning name has the opportunity of being the name of an actual LEGO pirate ship. You have to be signed in to ReBrick in order to participate and you can only suggest five (5) names. These have to be original and cannot have been used before in other commercial relations. The winner will receive the chance to have his or her name suggestion as the name of the actual LEGO pirate ship as well as one of the new LEGO pirate ship sets, signed by the designer. Read the full rules and information here. LEGO has only directly confirmed this one set so far, but the presence of a new logo seems to imply it may be part of a new Pirates theme. jedi299
I was wondering when they would do another Pirates reboot. Nice to know when it's coming now. BerixMaster2010
Commander Cold
The ship better be as good as the Scull's Eye Schooner. Never had a ship surpass it yet.
lol username
http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=91306&st=100#entry1982096 I found these on the work computer today, all prices are in NZ dollars and I think probably a couple of the smaller 'Soldier's Arsenal' type sets are missing, as well as any exclusive sets. Release date April next year, although our computers are not always reliable with release dates. 17.99 NZD - Shipwreck Defense 39.99 NZD - Soldiers' Outpost 39.99 NZD - Treasure Island 59.99 NZD - Soldiers' Fort 179.99 NZD - The Brick Bounty Don't have time to convert to approximate EUR/USD/GBP prices right now. My initial speculation is that the Soldiers' Outpost and Fort will be connectible in some way.
le717
179.99 NZD - The Brick Bounty Holy huge hole in my wallet, Batman, that's $150 USD! That better be one ship-shape and beauty of a pirate ship for that much money.
aidenpons
Somebody ACTUALLY put prices in NZD? ...Does this mean that something's actually going to come out in NZ first? I've personally found the Pirates line rather uninteresting, it seems to be repeated with worse and worse ships as things go on... Maybe, maybe, it might be better. They've generally been under-armed. Two cannons? I bet that they only have those two (Ok, maybe three) and have moved them to that side. Still, it has two masts... ...but frankly, if you want a boat for $180 then you're better of buying the Corsair Black Ship which comes with some very... expensive minifigures. aidenpons
worse and worse ships as things go on You're kidding, right? *hovers over link* 'Imperial Flagship' OH RIGHT I FORGOT ABOUT THAT What I mean is the ships in the theme itself that were [somehow] tied to the plot have generally gotten worse. EDIT: The Sea Cow was pretty good too... but that never really came out in NZ either...
STUDZ
Gotta love that price gap between the Soldier's Fort and the Brick Bounty. And that Treasure Island... Color me intrigued, but I really want more Pirates sets in subsequent waves.
