Hacked Posted August 3, 2014 Share Posted August 3, 2014 If Rock Raiders 2 was developed, what features would you like to be added? Setting aside updated graphics and smoother AI, what do you think could enhance the game play? These are my thoughts on what could benefit the game. - More biomes; ravens with multiple layers, some caves exposed to the surface. - Ability to spawn in specific rock raiders (level, tools and name). - Addition fuel sources, like oil and minerals such as uranium. - Bridges to cross water,lava. - Poison gas that works similar to air supply, damaging rock raiders without a form of protection. - Different color pallets for levels, evolving from the repetitive original. - Command options for rock raiders that's similar to the Sims 2, planning tasks ahead of time. This is my first post on a game forum, and only found this one after having memories of how fun the game was for me. Ben24x7 Posted August 3, 2014 Share Posted August 3, 2014 How about this: Say you are mining a wall, then you stop before the wall demolishes. When this happens the wall is more likely to create landslides. To stop it from landsliding you either drill it more until it collapses or you reinforce it. Or maybe even that if a landslide occurs either the landslide drops Ore and (rarely) Energy Crystals, or that when a landslide occurs that the rubble at least gives you Ore if you shovel it up. Not on the subject of drilling, but what about the game only includes vehicles from the sets, including the flying vehicle from the Lego Rock Raiders Base set that never got into the final game. Also the Tunnel Transporter could be added as a proper flying vehicle (I know there is a mod for this made for the original game but seriously I'd like to see it in an unmodded version). Currently all you need to transfer a base across a body of water is a Tunnel Scout and two ore. Then drop a Tool Store on the other side and magically pull crystals out of that.
