Noob Slayer
Hi all. I started the game up last night, and it gave me an error saying the memory could not be "written." The game doesn't crash immediately, though. I can go through the menus just fine, but once I start a race, the game crashes. I recently updated my graphics drivers (I'm still running XP, here) and I'm not sure if that might be the problem? I'm frustrated because I want to do another speedrun. grappigegovert
The updated drivers could be the problem. I'd try re-installing the older version to see if that fixes it.
Noob Slayer
Did that a few hours ago. No effect at all. I'll try switching from 32-bit colors to 16-bit. That's about all I can do unless I know what this problem is.
aidenpons
Hmm.... I seem to recall a similar error that was solved by either a) running in Compatibility Mode, b) running as Admin, or c) both. (I'm still running XP, here) *high-five* (Also, you might want to add a more descriptive title...)
Noob Slayer
I'm already in Compatibility Mode, but I haven't tried running as admin yet. Also, how do you edit the title? I am confuzzled. In addition, running as admin had no effect whatsoever.
Noob Slayer
Oh hey I figured out the problem!!! My GENERAL.SBK file was screwed up. I downloaded the one in RobExplorien's mod (AI resemblance), and in the process of editing it myself (switching engine sounds and horns and whatnot), it got messed up! Silly schisms.
