emily
Some of you may already be aware of LEGO News Show - a series of online shorts LEGO has been producing to advertise their product range that up to now has been available exclusively in German. BZPower has the scoop that the series has gained enough appeal to make the leap to international distribution. That means more languages - including, most importantly to monoglots everywhere, English. If you're curious you can see the 9 already available episodes in German here. Ben24x7
Personally, I was wondering why the videos had no subtitles for anything other than German, and now it turns out it was only for that regieon. Still, it would at least be nicer to know what the people on-screen are saying rather than judge by whats on screen. eagleeyedan
emily
Five months later... The original content in the trailer (that isn't from old episodes) is very LEGO Movie-y.

emily
Just from an animation perspective, these are pretty. Liked the gag where Fred comes in as the Headless Horseman, and puts his head back on for the reveal. Also wow Max is kind of an massive jerk. le717
You'll want to watch episode 4 first. It provides context and explains some things. Ayliffe
Ayliffe
Ace Rider is best character confirmed confirmed. Also if this whole bit isn't a massive Knight Rider reference I'll eat my hat.
lol username
Compare this with some Portal Racers textures: Pretty sure LEGO has an internal library of minifigure facial expressions and just tells artists/animators to mimic them or something like that. For this style of animation specifically it seems they just have a bunch of face elements like that and squash/stretch them around and flick between different ones. emily, aidenpons and Fifi La Fume
origamihero
I hope Lego doesn't come out with a physical piece with printing or everything will go wrong (gone sexual)
