Cirevam
+1 for anyone who knew I would post here. Anyways, Retail Blockland, which uses a different graphical style to prevent copyright infringement, is mainly a Lego building game. You place bricks on baseplates to build stuff, simple enough. You can paint those bricks with many different colors, add luster or glow effects, make them undulate like jello, or blow them up. There are also a few weapons so that you can hold deathmatches in the things you've built, though the variety is lacking in that department. There are also... I think something like three or four vehicles, most are lame, but the physics on the jeep are so well done that it can actually drive through a loop-de-loop made from blocks. If you know how Torque vehicle physics work, you'll know that that's a big feat. But before Retail there was Blockland 0002. This is, in my opinion, the only thing worth playing, and I have Retail so I'm speaking from experience. Why? 0002 is open source, and almost a dozen major mods that range from adding more brick types (RTB and TBM*) to full-scale deathmatch conversions (CTF and Amod) have been released for it. Vehicles played a slightly bigger part in 0002 but only one mod really focused on them (StuntBL) but the mods that did have a decent selection of vehicles often didn't tweak them to be user-friendly at high speeds (BLM). I'm not going to forget about map designs, either. If you want some of the most beautiful areas to build castles or space stations in, go for TBM or AiO-r. Off the top of my head, I know TBM has a lake nestled in the mountains, a space environment, an office, and... some house. AiO-r has a village, an attic, some TV production studio, and even Vice City (yes, THAT Vice City). If you guys want, I can upload my dump of BL screenshots from the various mods so you can get a feel of all the different things the game, and community, is capable of doing. *Legend AiO-r: All in One Reloaded Amod: Apocalypse Mod BLM: Blockland Mods CTF: Capture the Flag RTB: Return to Blockland StuntBL: Stunt Blockland TBM: The Better Mod

Cirevam
No, it's what happens if parts of the interior exist past the draw-distance fog. A similar effect happens if someone deletes (not kills, deletes) you when in-game. Everything goes dark and starts smearing all over the screen, and you can't suicide out of it because your body has been deleted, and thus can't be respawned. You have to quit the server. And then I made a gun that shoots bullets that cause objects, even people, to be deleted. I think it only worked for the admin which made it useless as the admin always has access to the world editor, otherwise it would have been the ultimate griefing weapon. Cirevam
YOU STILL USE V0002?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??! Yeah because I can actually modify it without stupid Add-On crap. I do have Retail by the way, I just don't like it because I can't do whatever I want. Don't say that I can, because I don't care. By the way, that screenshot was taken on Saturday, ‎January ‎07, ‎2006, â€â€Ž9:06:58 AM in RTB. I started playing Blockland in early 2005 I believe, and I still use it and the mods for many testing purposes, but I was never an enthusiastic builder. I play so I can race in the cars I modeled and scripted and kill things with the weapons I modeled and scripted. How does blockland work? and how is it different from roblox getting-it-to-your-computer-wise? 0002 isn't supported anymore, so you'd have to get it from someone who has it. I'm pretty sure most of the mods are still hosted, but if they're not I'd upload those. For the retail version, go to www.blockland.us for more info because honestly, I've only ever played it for two, maybe three hours tops and I don't know if anything has changed.
