I've made maps for BA. More will be coming, so stay tuned. Except that I don't have a radio frequency to tune into.


Alpine Delta

Map size (in map units): 16x10

Windspeeds: 15-60

Tidal Strength: 35

Ski kBot Regulars: 60

"At 2,600m above sea level, this is the highest altitude battlefield yet, with powerful gusts and a fast-flowing river. Ski resort not interpreted for now."

Swamp Area

Map size (in map units): 14x14

Windspeeds: 10-15

Tidal Strength: N/A

Stolen Bananas: 55

"This isn't really super speed, but keep your patience in hand and you'll be OK."

Eternity Ocean

Map size (in map units): 20x20

Windspeeds: 10-25

Tidal Strength: 25

Spotted Scuba kBots: 27

"The ultimate water map for Spring. No funny conclusion here."

Heat v2

Map size (in map units): 16x28

Windspeeds: 0-5

Tidal Strength: 25

Burnt hot dogs: 14

"It's getting even hotter. Now we're going for a barbacue."

New in v2:

-Less metal. Still best for large scale games.

-Lava will hurt.

-Lava looks better.

*NOTE: Sorry to break it to ya, but the lava is really water. To make it look as *ahem* authentic as possible, set the water setting (Spring Settings) to "Dynamic". Also, due to the significant amount of metal, I recommend using this map for large gaming events.


8-zone

Map size (in map units): 20x20

Windspeeds: 10000

Tidal Strength: 0

Skydivers: 30

"Only air? Seriously? Well, at least there's challenging metal patches...NONE?!?"

After Extensive* testing, I have determined several things.

One: Most of the Metal patches yield only .7 - .98 metal.

Two: The lower side is favored, due to the fact that they have FOUR!?!?!?!?! of the patches that yield 2 metal.

Three: The map makes depthcharges Overpowered due to the way the river is, and only amphibs/ships can get over

*I watched epic play 3 games against RM. Epic on top, RM on bottom. Epic lost. Every time.

And I messed (toyed) around with a bot.

Advice: Increase the average metal in the spots to 1.5 or something like that

More evenly distribute the metal patches in the mid (Maybe give top three more?)

What do you mean by the 'way the river is'?

There is no way for non-water vehicles/kbots to get over.

Also, depthcharges can knock out amphibious vehicles and ships while they are in the middle, in transit.

Make some Fjords for normal vehicles to get over, I thlnk

I didn't see that last night, they had armies crawling over and my depthcharges didn't fire a shot.

Only think that saved me was the fact I had so many vulcans, and had an army of 10 krogs (only one survived at the end).

So, no fjords please.

Addict, I don't know what happened, but Depthcharges (They go by the water, you know) Are HIGHLY effective against stuff like that.

Units can't return fire from underwater, so they, when used with HLTs, are extremely over-powered.\

Also: TEN KROGS WTF!?!?!?

SO MANY VULCANS!?!?!?

WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?

Anon is probably gonna be the ONLY one who hates eternity ocean :P

I like naval battles. What I would really like to see someday is a map where kbots/vehicles/ships have absolutely no way of being used, thus resulting in a pure air war :D

Eagle, remember that map I wanted? It was a pure air war map.

Pretty much eternity ocean with huge mountains around the island :P

if you're lazy, do that.

If you have time, create a whole new map for it :)

Addict: It's more like, "If you're lazy, don't do it." IOW, it's a pain to modify such a big map.

We need metal heavy maps though...Makes the game more fun :) And quicker.
