They return fire in an attempt to hit your face, but you remain elusive and sustain only shoulder hits. This jacket sure got ruined quick. Phil blindfires at the north hall and hits a soldier right between the eyes. The remaining two soldiers evidently know how to use their NVGs properly, because they see Derek coming. A knife flies out and peirces the mask of one of them, and Derek pops a cap in the other before either can react effectively. Derek sustains a bullet wound from one of the soldiers in the west hall, and he loses his grip on the ceiling. WeeeeeeeeSMACK. Ouch. Between you and Roy, you take out half of the soldiers in the west hall. The other four suddenly bug out and run down the stairs. All halls clear. OMFG SUDDEN POV SHIFT I regret ever signing up for this crap. Especially because this isn't what I signed up for. Stupid authority and not letting us into the loop.... So that's why I joined up with this Roy guy. And now my former comrades are shooting at me just as they shoot at them. Have these other guys been brainwashed or something? If so, when did it happen...? I saw Mariam using her night vision goggles and shooting somewhere behind me. The bullets that came back and pelted her and Robert (damn that guy is huge) told me why. I looked at the bullets, and time slowed... I could faintly see the path from which it came, and comparison with the others told me there were three shooters, and even their position. One of them seemed to be moving erratically, and one was crouched where I could not get him. But the other guy.... he was standing. If I just fire at this particular angle, I should hit him in the forehead... I arced the rifle over the sandbag encampment and fired once. The bullets being fired at Mariam were lessened in volume. Hit. A few seconds later, I heard a gunshot somewhere above me, followed by a thump somewhere behind me. I didn't bother to see what it was because the remaining soldiers were either killed or ran away. Okay, safe for now... That thought didn't even complete before I noticed it wasn't true. I saw a silouhette of the floor move up an inch or two, and it was crumbling, then falling back down, through the actual floor... Time slowed again. I got to my feet as quickly as I could, and ran towards Maraim, who was running to a destination somwehere behind me. I made a sweeping motion go get clear of the room... but it was too late by that point. The explosion that followed caused me to lose consciuosness before my hearing. OMFG POV REVERT What is he saying? What's going o- The whole floor erupts with an explosion that causes your vision to blacken and toss you up into the air about a meter. You see Phil go flying, as well as Derek, some distance away. Roy and Robert fall backwards. The floor falls in beneath you, so the three of you still there have further to fall than you went up. You land with a sickening crunch. You look at you leg, and see why. The leg in question has broken about halfway, and the bone was pushed up through your pants about a quarter of the length that was broken. You cry out in pain. You try to shout for somebody, but dust fills your lungs and all that is heard is a loud cough. Roy sits up, holding his head with a 'holy-CRAP-that-hurt' expression on his face. You wrench your other foot free from the rubble, only now realizing it was buried. Roy and Robert regard the other and scan the rubble for anybody. They see Mariam somewhere among the rubble. You feel pain. Lots of it. You cry out, and then start coughing. You fall back down. You slowly sit up and see a piece of rebar going through your leg. "Great! Now I have a bulletwound in my shoulder, AND metal going through my leg!" You faintly hear somebody calling your name. It sounds like Roy... "He- *cough cough* ahem... HEYY!!!!" you shout. You are Mariam. You hear a shout somewhere to your right. It isn't Roy. You stand up and try to make your way over to the voice. Eventually, you discover Derek... with rebar going through his leg!
