Apparently they made a Linux version.

I downloaded and installed it, and I don't really see a big difference from the windows one.

Just some minor look changes.

Anyway, download it now Linux users and experience better web browsing.

Especially good for me since I hate the Fire Fox UI.

Ewww!!! why in the world would anyone change from Firefox to Google Chrome, that's like going back to IE. Don't you know that google watches how you use their browser?

You realise there is a Chrome skin for FF?

Recommendation for anyone view view this topic, DON'T CHANGE!

+ I found a extension that gives FF the Aero glass for win7/vista

If any one more person tries to persuade me to switch to chrome...

Espically on linux...

Seriously, Its gonna start getting haxed real soon, if MS had any input (i.e.: ActivX controls)

Besides, I like my FF3 UI.

Its pretty.

he he, I don't care what Google does, fire fox is very ugly, and I don't mean the skins.

I like the way skins work.

The fact is that there are people, like me, who hate ff and prefer gg over and other browser yet made.

So, for those of you hate hate Mozilla, switch now. (Or wait for the official release.)

(Dang, I feel this is going to lead to a flame war)

So, for those of you hate hate Mozilla

O_O You did not just say you hate the company that provides some of the best opensource software in the world? ... kill me now!

Google is a money making giant that wants to dip it's finger into everything it sees(Phones, browsers, online stores, OS's etc etc) while collecting all your details it can legally(well they aren't afraid of doing illegal things either, look at their book scanning mess).

heck! you can't even get gmail without them wanting your mobile phone number now...

Internet Explorer would treat me better, at least it won't try to harass my computer for 'consumer information'. I love FF, and I haven't exited a Ad on Youtube in months. It looks awesome, and is free.

Chrome is the Mac of computers, it sucks and everyone who has it considers it better then anything else. It rises just above AOL browsers, and is even below Internet Explorer on my list.

Chrome is mentally-challenged. "Hey let's open up a new process for every tab!"

Then again...

Probably why it's so 'fast'

lol, Google collects what information?

What can they collect from chrome?

The fact that I visit rru a lot?

And the fact that I hate Google?

And the fact that I hate Mozilla and firefox?

That's all they'd get.

Seriously, the only thing that's good with Google Chrome is it's speed. Yes, I'd like to get a fast browser, but I'm not just gonna give up my Adblock Plus, Forecast Fox, Search Previews, Foxtab, Firebug, Personas, Cool Previews, etc etc. And definitely not giving up this lovely browser for something that "looks better" >_>

Wait, so you are implying adblock doesn't work?

Weird.

Second, each process for gc is small in ram and cpu.

Mozilla takes all of chromes processes and plops it into one huge, resource hungry beast.

I can't believe no one saw that fact.

I personally never used any toolbars/plugins.

They always drove me crazy for some reason.

I love the fact that no toolbar works with gc.

Summary:

Everyone hates chrome, I love it.

What do I do?

I close this topic so that the flame war can't start and leave it at:

Like Google chrome? Don't have windows anymore? Get it on Linux NOW!
